A Little Disturbing

This year the Fiagle family Christmas party was held at my sister Amanda's house. It was a blast! We went to dinner and then over to her house to play games. We had The Ugliest Sweater Contest and we laughed are butts off when my brother Peter came out wearing his sweater! I just have to clarify that he is married and has two beautiful daughters, Just in case you were wondering :) He's the one right in front on the floor.

My brother James was laughing so hard he almost threw up! Next year we may have to call it the most disturbing sweater contest. We played a few games and my sister made some yummy desserts. It's always fun to get together with no kids because we can actually visit. I'm so glad that my family can be such good sports about everything and we all definitely had a good laugh! Kevin wasn't able to make it so we missed him but hopefully next year he will be able to come. Thanks to my sister in law Kim who watched my kids for me. She took them all to Mcdonalds to play and have ice cream. Love ya Kim! It's been such a busy month that I know I won't be able to post about everything so here's a few things that went on this month so far(Sorry journal purposes)
- Kevin's birthday. Kevin turned thirty two. We all went to Olive Garden for dinner and took the kids to see the lights in Willard. They absolutely love seeing the lights. We have kinda made a tradition to go every year. Maisey was so cute and wanted to wave to all of the different lights. She liked the mickey mouse the most.
- Kevins other Christmas Party was last night. It was fun to meet some of the people that he works with. Always yummy food at the Timbermine and I won the centerpiece which was a really cute cookie jar in the shape of an ornament.
- I went with the Young Women's to Temple Square. It was such a neat experience. We stopped and listened to a Youth choir and it really put you in the Christmas mood. The Temple was beautiful as always.
There is a few more things going on before Christmas and then I will be able to sit back and enjoy Christmas for what it is really about.

Maisey and her love of dogs!!

Maisey absolutely loves dogs! Since chewy left I have felt a little bad for her. (Chewy is living with my brother in California, He is doing great and loving the warm weather) When I saw that my neighbor just got a new lab, I thought it might be fun to get a few pictures of them together, Maybe get some cute Christmas pictures. The dog (her name is Misty) didn't want to leave the big red bow on and of course didn't want to sit still and Maisey didn't want to either. Oh well it was worth a shot.

We Love Santa! Well most of us do.

We were lucky this year and got to see two Santa's. We always go over to the school and have doughnuts with Santa. This year Tarrin didn't feel like talking to Santa and waited for us while he ate his chocolate milk and doughnut. Maisey threw herself on the floor kicking and screaming when I tried to put her on Santa's lap. Trey and Wyatt were the only ones content to hang out with Santa for awhile.
On Saturday we went to Kev's works kids Christmas party. The kids love getting a toy from Santa. Maisey had all smiles and waves for Santa so I actually thought that maybe she was going to be okay sitting on his lap but nope this is what happened. I guess some kids are just scared to death of Santa.

I do not get paid enough!

Life with an almost two year old is very rewarding but then you have the days when you think "I am not getting paid enough!" Maisey came downstairs today with no pants on. She had pooped and decided she didn't like it so took off her diaper and then looked around for me to of course clean her up but not before sitting down on the stairs! But then how can I get upset, I just picture her at the ward Christmas party dancing around and wanting to be the center of attention. Such a silly girl and so much fun to be around. Now our next task will be potty training. She has gone a couple of times and is ready but I don't think I am. I hate it!

Bye Chewy, We will miss you!

So we have made our decision. Chewy will be living with another family just has soon as we find him a good home, One with older kids or an older couple without kids. If you know of anyone let me know. We want him to go somewhere where he will be loved just has much as he has been loved here. My kids cried when I told them what we are going to do but I think now they are getting used to it. We have had chewy for over a couple of years now and have had so many fun memories with him. I remember him jumping in the pond up in Yellowstone and spraying water all over us, running and playing with the kids, The kids holding him on their laps as they watch T.V. We have had such good times with our little dog. I am glad my kids were able to have a dog and learn how to be gentle and kind to animals. I feel so bad about what happened but I have to keep my little ones safe. I'm glad Maisey won't remember what happened. She still loves dogs and especially Chewy.

Crazy Morning

This morning was not a very good day for my sweet little girl. As I was walking upstairs from doing some laundry I heard chewy growling. It didn't sound very good so I ran up the stairs as fast as I could and found Maisey sitting under the table with chewy and a can of whipped cream in her hand. I immediately picked her up and saw that chewy had bit her on her face below her eye. She looked awful! I thought that maybe she was going to need a couple of stitches so Trey and I ran to the doctors to see what they thought. They ended up using the glue. Since it was a dog bite she will be on antibiotics for a week. Now we have to decide what to do with chewy. He has never done this before and I know that she is rough with him and I'm sure he just wanted the whipped cream. He has always been a really great dog. He has always been very loving and gentle towards the kids. We technically have to keep him for ten days the doctor said so we can make sure he's not sick or anything. I know he's not and just wanted something to eat but I can't have him hurting Maisey again. I have heard a lot from people on both sides that say give him away and some that say he's a really good dog and you should think about it. I guess we have ten days to decide. Maisey was such a brave little girl and only cried right after the incident. She was so good at the doctors office while they cleaned her eye and took care of her. I was so happy to see this cute smile on her face even after everything that had happened. So what to do? I know what will probably end up happening but would love your input on the situation.

The company is all gone

So after a week my brother and his family went back to sunny California. We had a lot of fun and always enjoy having them come and stay. Here is some of the highlights.

- My sister Amanda will come down and visit almost everyday that my brother is here. So I get to see her a lot more.
- Domino's chicken foot is a very fun game and can become very addicting.
- My brother Jeremy makes a great pot of Zuppa soup(tastes just like Olive Garden)
- Saw Planet 51, The kids loved it
- My kids got to play with their cousins 24/7
- Got to celebrate Brinlee's birthday while she was here.
- My sister in law got me working on another digital scrapbook.
- Staying up late and talking.
- My sister in law painted Maisey nails and she loved it!

Turning Fat

Trey grabbed my wrist today and said "Mom, Your turning fat, Your hand is all squishy! He said feel my wrist its all hard and yours isn't.

Thanksgiving

We had forty two people in my little house for Thanksgiving this year. A little chaotic you may ask? Yes, But a whole lotta love! We ate tons, played games, teased and had a great time with each other. I love coming from a big family and feel so thankful when we can all be together.

Who likes to stick their head in the toilet?

Maisey does! She has now done this three times. It is time to go buy the toilet locks. I have pretty much seen it all with the boy's but sticking your head in the toilet is a new one. Maisey has an obsession with water. About six months ago I found her sitting in the toilet. I was worried she was going to get stuck! The other day Kevin yelled to me "Heather your going to want to see this!" When I got in the bathroom Maisey was standing there smiling, her head soaking wet. Kevin had found her in there with her head in the toilet. I know she likes to scrub her own hair when she's in the bathtub but the toilet! I am so thankful that the times she has done this the boy's remembered to flush. Gross!

Halloween

I am so far behind on this blogging thing. We had a great Halloween. My neighborhood is greatest for trick or treating. We started early and I was so surprised that Maisey enjoyed it as much as she did. She loved going from house to house getting candy. I thought she would get one piece and be content to sit and eat it for the rest of the night but she was having a blast filling up her bucket. Maisey was a fairy princess this year. She looked so cute and at one persons house they gave her a cute little teddy bear for what they said "being the cutest thing they have seen all night". The boys weren't thrilled being the same thing as last year but I have such a hard time forking over a bunch of money on costumes for one night. I was glad that we were in Disneyland for their school parties so they really only wore their costumes one night. Tarrin was Anakin Sywalker and Wyatt was Darth Vadar. Trey wore Wyatt's Buzz Lightyear costume and it looked so cute on him. After a while I took Trey and Maisey home while Kevin stayed trick or treating with Tarrin and Wyatt. We made pizza's that looked like mummies. The kids came back with so much candy! They filled up those big white Tupperware bowls with all of their goodies. We will have candy for six months! It was so much fun and I enjoyed chatting with all of our great neighbors.

Disneyland

So as I said Kevin called me while I was in Park City with my sister and asked me what I thought about leaving for Disneyland the next day. It's funny because I like to plan everything out but it ended up being so nice to just pick up and leave. I didn't have time to sit and think about all the stuff that I needed to do, We just went and had a great time as a family. Here is just a few of the pictures we took.
The boys loved critter land where they could do the rope swing, play on the tree house and climb on the rock wall. They also liked seeing the Brother Bear characters.

Kevin and Maisey waiting for the parade in California Adventures to start. The kids always love this parade!
Maisey absolutely loved all of the princesses. She would go up and just hug them. When she saw Mulan I thought she was almost going to fall asleep. She didn't really care for the other characters, I think they scared her a little bit. She only liked the princesses.

Maisey actually sat still to get her face painted. She was funny when she got done, She kept telling everyone around us to look at her face. She still talks about it all of the time. There is a picture of the finished product on my photography blog. I have no idea why I stuck her in a Halloween T-shirt instead of something girlie. Oh, well what do you do.
Maisey wanted these Mickey Mouse ears and of course Kevin got them for her. She wore them for a little bit and then decided she didn't want to wear them anymore.

So I asked the kids what their favorite rides were and this is what they said.
Tarrin- Space Mountain
Wyatt- Toy Story Mania
Trey- Buzz Lightyear
Maisey- She loved Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh and The Playhouse Disney show.
I think Kevin and I love Disneyland as much as the kids but there is nothing like seeing your kids faces absolutely light up with joy.

Punkinaze

Yesterday Kevin and I went on Trey's field trip to the Punkinaze in West Haven. First they played some cute little games and then we walked through the corn maze.

Trey ditched us for a his cute little girlfriend McKell. He wanted to hold hands with her so we were left on our own with Maisey. We got a little lost from the crowed but they came back and made sure we got out okay. After that we played on the huge slide. I thought Maisey would be scared to death because its so big but after the first time down she loved it. Here she is holding on for dear life.

Trey loved, loved the slide. He couldn't get enough and we had to drag him off of it.(Kevin grabbed him and they went diving down the slide together) Maisey loved searching for candy in the corn kernels.
After I took some pictures of the kids. I thought this picture was so funny of Maze because she wasn't tall enough to put her head through but you can see her eye's poking out.

We had so much fun! I have never been to a corn maze and I loved it. The kids had so much fun! Maisey kept saying slide, slide with a huge smile on her face. What a fun day.

Halloween Fun

My sister-in-law Tara had a Halloween party for a bunch of the cousins, neighborhood kids and friends. It was such a blast. Tara is so talented! She made a bunch of yummy treats(Spider cupcakes, Carmel apples, ghost cupcakes, homemade root beer and eyeballs) Maisey loved her spider cupcake. Everything was delicious!
All the kids got to pick out a pumpkin and paint it. I thought Maisey would just paint herself but actually she would take her time and concentrate really hard to paint her pumpkin. Wyatt and Trey loved painting their pumpkins.
It was so much fun and I appreciate Tara doing all of that hard work so that the kids could have such a great time. Your the best!

Tarrin's Birthday

Can you believe I have a nine year old? I can't. Tarrin turned nine on Sunday. On Saturday Kevin took Tarrin and his friends Tyler and Alex to Chucky Cheese. Wyatt and Trey also got to go. They had a lot of fun and Tarrin was excited to have his friends go. On Sunday Kevin's family came to our house for cake and ice cream. My sister in law Tara made him a cool Star Wars cake. He loved it! I made my chili recipe but used different tomatillo salsa and it was so spicy! Sorry. Tarrin has been asking for an art desk so he can make all of his projects, do homework, and draw on so Kevin and I went to Ikea and found a cool desk, chair, lamp, garbage can, and writing utensils for his birthday. He loves to work at his desk. Tarrin is such a good kid. He is such a good student, good brother, and is always helping us. I am so proud of him. Love ya T!

The Moffett Train

Almost every year on Mia and Skylar's birthdays(My neighbors kids)Their parent's borrow from one of their friends a train pulled by a four wheeler. All of the neighbors and I are thrilled because it means entertainment for a couple of days. The kids love it! Maisey was old enough this year to ride along with one of her brothers sitting beside her. The kids have so much fun. Skylar likes to drive everyone around. It's great fun and all of us parents love watching the kids have so much fun.

Masuisui Luau

Last Saturday the Masuisui's put on a Luau at their house. They had amazing food, Fun entertainment, and Lot's of fun! Kevin got picked to do one of their dance things. Two other guys and him had to swing their hips when they heard stuff like kiwi, papaya, and pineapple. It was hilarious! I don't think he liked being in front of everyone but he was a good sport and it was great fun. Maisey absolutely loved the dances and would try and imitate everything that they did. That girl loves to dance and every time she hears music she stops what she is doing and starts dancing. It was fun to see a lot of our friends and neighbors and get to have a fun night with the family.

Chili Cook Off

You are reading the blog of the winner of the Farr West 5th Ward Chili cookoff, I may have or have not won because only three people took the time to vote. Kevin did see the Bishop get two bowl fulls of my famous chili so it had to be good, Right? There was this lady there that tried to take credit for my chili. Yes my husband did have a Pepsi in his hand which was rather embarrassing but that does not mean that I should be disqualified. I didn't win the shootout but I did get a Twinkie and a certificate. Overall it was a great time. The kids had fun playing in the haystacks, Finding candy in the sawdust, and playing games. I was rather impressed and a little disgusted with the belching contest but Hey, Our ward can definitely have a good time!!

Just Peachy!!

So I had the best peach torte at book club. I had no idea that I like peaches as much as I do. I have never really cared for them but I have been missing out! I went to Pettingills in Willard and it was a frenzy. They had just showed up with baskets of fresh picked peaches and I had to get me some of that. I bought a big box and set them on my counter. Now what to do with all of them. Well I knew that I was definitely making the Peach torte, So as I started on that I peeled Maisey a peach and watched her eat it. She was digging the peaches..
I guess after a minute the fork just wasn't fast enough for her. Kevin helped me make some peach freezer jam and tomorrow it will be peach pie's. Gotta love peaches!!!

Preschool

Preschool has started up again and Trey is one happy camper. He got up and was dressed and ready to go about three hours before it started. He is now in the four year old class so he is in the afternoon. He was so excited to go back. I have to say that it was so quiet at my house. I put Maisey down for a nap after we drop Trey off and I don't hear a sound for three hours!! Ahhhh it's so peaceful on Tuesdays and Friday's!

Hogle Zoo

On Labor Day we decided to go to the Zoo. We had some free tickets and thought it would be a good day to go. I guess everybody else thought it would be a good day also. There was so many people there!! Kevin dropped me and the kids off and went in search of a parking spot. Twenty minutes later he met up with me and the kids. The kids had so much fun! Tarrin had is little camcorder with him and liked going around taking pictures and doing some video of the animals. Wyatt also brought his Fisher Price camera and took Lot's of pictures. I guess I'm rubbing off a little bit on the kids. Maisey was an absolute pill most of the day. She would get really excited about seeing a certain kind of animal and if we tried to pry her away she would scream and throw a fit until we got to the next animal. It was a cycle the rest of the time we were there. I was laughing a little bit when she would see something she liked in the reptile place and she would just stand there like the animal was hers and give everyone a look like this is mine and don't even think about looking at it.
Overall we had a good time. Later we headed up to Logan for my niece Kenzie's Birthday party. We had some yummy food and the kids played with all of their cousins.

School,Haircut,and New Calling

This post is a little bit of everything so feel free to skim through it. Well school has started and Tarrin and Wyatt seem to be enjoying it. I was a little worried because Tarrin was acting so upset that he had to go but after the first day he was loving it. Wyatt seems to like it but thinks the school day lasts a long time. It's nice having the two in school all day. I haven't gotten a lot done like I thought I would but I guess it might take me a little bit to get back in a routine. Tarrin and Wyatt always love the first day of school when they get to have doughnuts and juice before they get on the bus.
Tarrin has Mrs. Hansen and Wyatt has Mrs. Budge. They both seem really nice. At back to school night we walked in the classroom to meet Tarrin's teacher and Wyatt says "Look Tarrin, You have a grandma for a teacher" I was so embarrassed but I don't think she heard.

A couple of day's ago I was looking at Maisey's hair and it just didn't seem right. There were short pieces in the front where I knew that it had been long a half hour earlier. It took me a minute to realize that it had been cut. I didn't think that she had cut it herself so of course I asked Trey if he had cut Maisey's hair and he had said no and he actually sounded believable. Later Kevin asked Trey "Trey, What scissors did you use to cut Maisey's hair" and his reply "The green and orange one's" I guess it's all in how you ask them. I was so mad! I'm glad that I can brush her bangs to the side and you can't really notice it but still, It's so frustrating!

Sunday I was set apart to be the Young Women's Secretary. I am excited for this new calling and looking forward to getting to know the girls. I am really happy to be serving with Camille,Carrie, and Lori. They are such neat people. Wish me luck!

Bye, Bye Summer, We will miss you!

Tomorrow is the first day of school and I am excited and a little bit sad to see that our Summer fun is coming to an end. We have been busy trying to get everything in while we can. Here is some stuff we have been up to.
...Hit both the Logan fair and The Davis county fair. Logan was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed the fried oreo's and all the neat booths. The Davis fair was a bit of a disappointment but they did have a fun petting zoo.
...Went to Toads a couple of times. We had some gift certificates and decided now was a good time to use them up. The boys love the place!
...Kevin and I spent one day making salsa from the veggies in our garden and making Strawberry freezer jam. Yummy!
...Had Kevin's family over for dinner. Had a good time visiting with the family and Kevin's cousin Heidi came with her husband and their cute little girl who they just adopted. Also went to Zeppe's after and had a gelata!
...Kevin took the boys to the showing of Star Wars at the Egyptian Theater. It was free and Tarrin loved it. How neat it was for him to see it on the big screen. I was just fine with staying home with Maisey since I'm not really into that sort of thing. I'm just glad my kids have such a nice daddy that takes them to do all sorts of fun things. Kevin said it was so much fun seeing how excited they got. Trey fell asleep but the other two couldn't stop talking about it.
...I have been busy finding out how to get my next victim for the Wild West Shootout. Thanks Kim and friend Kelly for helping me get Brian Masuisui. He never suspected a thing! Nothing like hiding behind a corner waiting for your victim to come out of work so you can shoot them. Yes, Brian I know I am a punk.
... Went to North Shore and had a blast. Maisey loved the frog slide and couldn't get enough. I think she went up and down that thing a hundred times. She was so wore out Kevin took her home for a nap and came and got me and the boys when we were done. I met my sister-in-law's Kim and Tara and Tara's sister Tiffany and Kim's friend Kelly and kids. It was so much fun! The kids had so much fun and I had a lot of fun hanging out with the girls. We always have so much fun together. The kids love the lazy river! I can't believe we were there for five and a half hours. I think that's a record for my kids.

Mr. Bullfrog

Yesterday Wyatt came in yelling he had found a frog jumping by our fence. I went to see what all the racket was about and he was holding this big bullfrog. It was really big. I have gotten used to the frogs that the boy's catch in Island Park, but this was a lot bigger. The kids played with it for awhile and then we put it in a bucket with a little water so that Kevin could see it later. We had to go and get Tarrin some new glasses because one of the lenses fell out in the water at my family reunion never to be seen again. When we got back the kids played some more with the frog. Maisey would look at it close and touch it but we couldn't get her to hold it. The boys liked chasing her around with it until I put a stop to it. I hope she survives growing up with her three brothers. After a while we decided it was time to let the frog go. Me and the kids unlocked the gate and went over to the canal. The grass is so tall and the canal is so far down that I had Tarrin just throw it in. It made a big splash and was laying upside down that I thought we had killed it but after a second it turned over and swam under some moss. Wyatt was really sad to let it go but we just a had to reassure him that the frog was a lot happier living in the wild then in a bucket with kids bugging it. He kept asking me about that frog all night "Mom, How is it going to eat", and "What if it gets hurt". For hanging out with us for such a short time he sure was attached to that frog. I have gotten used to snakes and all sorts of insects being shown to me by the kids, but this was a first for a bullfrog. I think I will miss that frog. Who knows maybe if Maisey kissed it, It would have turned into a prince!

Family Reunion

Saturday was The Fiagle Family Reunion. My sister Jennifer's husbands family has some land up Black Smith Fork Canyon. It was so nice. There was three different rope swings for the kids. They loved swinging over the water. There was a big grassy area with lots of trees to the side of it. It started out rainy and cold but by afternoon it was nice and warm. We had so much fun with the family! We played a lot of badminton where me and my sister Amanda killed my brothers James and Peter. James couldn't handle it so we had a rematch with just him and he managed to beat us by himself. My sister reserved a big blow up slide that she had for Payson's birthday a week before(funnest birthday party ever!)The kids had so much fun going down it. Maisey would go down by herself but had to have some one help her up it because it was so tall. I was a little worried about it but she is no scaredy cat. It was so much fun and I can't wait until next year. My dad turned 69 on Sunday, My sister baked him a cake and we sang Happy Birthday to him. Love ya dad!
Me and maze hanging out.(I know we look like ragmuffins but hey were camping)
