TOU half marathon

We did it! This year was great to run with hubby, brother Chris, sister Amanda, SIL Tiffany, friends Amanda and Camille. Lots of fun people from my ward and lots more! I definitely felt better last year and came in slower this year but all in all it was a good time. I am so grateful to my parents, Kevin's parents, My awesome friend Tami and hubby and parents, and everyone else who came out and cheered us on. It was great to see all of your support!

It was great to have the kids there at the finish line so they could see Kevin and I run in.

My SIL got back in the race after she had finished and pushed me to the end. Thanks Tiff!

Me and my sis. I just love this girl!

My brother Chris ran the TOU for the first time and did fantastic! He didn't even train very much. It was so fun having the four of us together and working towards the same goal!

I wish I would have got a picture of Amanda Perkins and I. She ran a twelve with me when we were training and I have loved talking to her and being able to support each other. I was able to go to dinner with her and some of her running buddies the night before the race and we had a good time. Love ya Amanda!

Trey lost his first tooth!

So I had to grab a picture before Trey left for school because he lost his first tooth last night. It has been loose for awhile and he just didn't want me to take it out. You can see where the other one was trying to grow in behind it. finally last night I took a paper towel and ripped it out. It didn't take much and he was so happy in the morning when he saw that the tooth fairy came.

First day of School!

Today was the first day of school for the boys. Back to School night was last night and they were able to meet their teachers. They had some cotton candy and we payed for their lunches and got some school shirts.

Tarrin got Mrs. Mason this year and I am so happy! She is so nice and big on their is school time and their is home time. She doesn't give homework unless its an assignment you didn't finish in class and she is very big on reading which is awesome! Tarrin loves to read and so it couldn't be a better fit for him.

Wyatt got Mrs. Hansen and we were excited because this was Tarrin's third grade teacher. Tarrin really liked her and I think Wyatt will too. She said when she saw the last name she was happy to be getting another Bergsjo in her class. I guess that's a good sign. He seemed really happy when he got home from school today.

Trey got Mrs. Weaver. He said when he got home that she is really nice! He seemed excited and happy to be back in school. Today was a nice day to sit and spend some one on one with Maisey. The house was so quiet! It hasn't been that way since school got out! After school we had our neighborhood tradition of snacks when the kids got off of the bus. It was fun to see all of the kids on their first day of school!

Weber County Fair

We went to the Weber County Fair last Wednesday and had fun! We love fair food the ribbon fries, Navajo tacos, funnel cakes, you name it! The kids had a lot of fun looking at the animals. This goat gave Wyatt a scare but he was super friendly.

Maisey and Trey liked the baby pigs but boy did they stink!

Wyatt loved this goat and wanted to hug it.

Later that night we went and saw the hypnotist. I took this before he said no cameras or video. Kevin got comfortable and was hypnotized for a little bit, His head was all the way behind him so you could only see his neck. It didn't look too comfortable but he said he was really relaxed. After about twenty minutes he wasn't hypnotized so about half the volunteers went and sat back down and watched the show. It was hilarious! The kid in the red shirt was so funny! It was a good time.

After the hypnotist Kevin payed for the kids to get into these balls blown up with air and run across the water. They looked like little gerbils in their wheel. Maisey wanted to do it but ended up in the corner crying for most of her turn. The kids said it was so much fun!

Maisey and the boys had their snow cones. The best part is putting in a bunch of different flavors!

We love mini doughnuts! Unfortunately the ones at the Weber fair were not that good. The best ones ever our at the Tremonton Fair. We also went to the Logan fair for a little bit on Friday before I had to get back to go with the young men and women to the Clarkston Pageant.

It was a lot of fun and I enjoy looking at all the booths and hanging out together!

Kool Aid Stand

This Summer Wyatt and neighbor Tori have had a couple of Kool Aid stands. Tori's younger brother Dallin also likes to help out. He is the one hiding behind the sign. They also sold Otter Pops. They had so much fun and I was surprised how long they would stay out there. It was hot!!

Cooking again

I guess it's a good time to start cooking again. I am such a slacker in the summer time. It is too hot and we are so busy that it seems like I never have time or that I do not want to cook. Since school is around the corner I have been in the mood to cook. Last week I made a new recipe, Winco had pork chops on sale so I took advantage. I am not a fan of pork chops but these were so dang good that I think I have changed my mind. They are braised pork chops in a sweet apple mustard sauce. So yummy!

Today I got some peaches and made my moms yummy peach pie recipe. I love this time of year!

Swimming Lessons

It was the last day of swimming lessons today. The kids had a lot of fun and would look forward to them ever morning. I think this was my ninth year taking the kids to the Brigham Pool. It has been such a busy summer but the swim lessons are always one of my favorite things to do with the kids. It was also great to sit and visit in the shade with my friends Carly and Colleen. The kids loved their teachers and had a blast! I think Maisey liked it the most. She is such a little water bug! They loved getting their certificates and after we played at the park and had lunch with some friends.
