THANKFUL FOR WHERE WE LIVE

I know I have already done a picture with all the kids on the swing set, but I am always amazed at how many kids are playing out there at any given time. Today I looked back and there was fifteen kids all playing nice with each other. I was a little shocked that they were playing so good. They all stayed out there for a couple of hours and now they are across the street in my neighbors backyard. I can now see that if I lived somewhere else it wouldn't be as easy having four small kids. I have the best neighbors who would do anything for you. I never have to worry about my kids not having someone to play with. Our street is like one large family. I have one teenage girl to the right of us and one across the street who are great with the kids and can babysit whenever I need them. Whenever I need someone to talk to I have three good friends within twenty feet of my house. When my neighbors see that I need help with anything they don't hesitate to come help. I could go on and on. I am just grateful that we live where we live. Chewy had so much fun running around in the backyard with all the kids. They were pretending that they were police and he was their police dog.

MEMORIAL WEEKEND

On Friday after Wyatt's graduation we headed up to our cabin in Island Park. We haven't been since February so I was excited to go. I knew that the weather wasn't supposed to be that great but we really needed to get away. I was a little disappointed that when we got there, There was still a ton of snow on the deck. It was muddy but it wasn't too cold. On Saturday my sister and her husband and kids showed up to hang out with us. Mandy had brought some rice cereal for her baby(doctor wants her to fatten her up)and I thought now was as good time as any to start Maisey on cereal. Here is Maisey with her first taste of cereal. Most of it ended up on her blanket. I would put it in her mouth and she would just look at me like what are you doing? Then she would spit it out.
Maisey rolled over from her back to her stomach by herself for the first time. Two firsts for her at the cabin. I finished The Host by Stephaenie Meyer. It was really good! It made the trip up to the cabin seem to go by really fast. Monday we bundled the kids up and all of us went for a ride up to Henry's lake. We strapped the babies into the ranger in their car seats and I took all the kids but Payson(He rode with his mom on the 4 wheeler). Matt rode is other 4 wheeler and Kevin took his new dirt bike out for a spin. It was a fun ride. When we got there Kevin got out the fishing pole and tried to catch some more fish.(Matt and Kevin both caught a fish the day before)It is so beautiful there. We hung around for a little bit. The kids had fun playing and finding worms for Kevin. Wyatt found a "juicy one" as he calls it and washed it off in the water for his dad. Trey was not happy about the cold. We had a really nice weekend.

WYATT'S PRESCHOOL GRADUATION

Friday was Wyatt's Preschool graduation. They held it at the North Ogden Library in the auditorium. It was so cute! They each had a little part to memorize. Wyatt didn't need any help with his part. He talked really close into the microphone and sounded a little muffled but did a great job. This year they each asked them questions about preschool. Wyatt's question he picked out of the jar was- What is your favorite nursery rhyme? He said it was Hey Diddle Diddle. They sang some songs and read a little card about each child that the mom's wrote about them. I put how he loves to find bugs and creepy crawlers, Play outside, give us hugs and kisses and his favorite food. They got to throw their hats in air when it was all over. I can't believe he will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. He is getting so big!

MAISEY'S FOUR MONTH APPOINTMENT

Yesterday I took Maisey to her four month appointment. She is now 12lbs. 4oz. And she is 26 inches long. She is 97% for her height and 25% for her weight and 50% for her head. Her doctor said "Tall and skinny, That's what they like to hear".

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

This is the kids second practice and I can't believe the difference in Tarrin. I don't know if it's because it wasn't as hot today but he would not quit. He was chasing balls all over the place and had some really good hits. Wyatt also did a lot better. They have such a good coach this year. I was a little worried having Wyatt on the same team because he is younger but the coaches work really well with the kids. I'm glad their actually learning things. I didn't get any pictures of their first game because I had forgotten my camera but they look so handsome in their shirts and hats. It's been a little chaotic taking four kids to the practices and games. I guess it's just getting me ready for when school's out. What am I going to do then!

BOOK SIGNING

Friday I went to the Stephenie Meyer book signing. Kev stayed home and watched the kids. I left pretty early and thought I would have plenty of time to get a good spot since the doors didn't open until 5:00 I got there at 4:00 and there was probably sixty people already waiting in line. When Kevin bought my ticket he accidentally got two and since nobody wanted to pay to go to the signing with me he sold the other one on K.S.L and he told the girl to call my cell phone when she got there and I would save her a place in line. I was glad since I had somebody to talk to. Her name is Karyn and her friends name is Emily. We got along great which was good since we had to wait around for quite awhile until Stephenie Meyer came out to give her discussion. She answered questions about the new book. Questions about Twilight and the movie. I am so surprised at her humble down to earth personality considering how popular she is. She was in Time magazine, Her picture right next to Oprah as the top 100 influential people. I also like the fact that she is a Mormon housewife, so I can relate. I was so glad that I was able to go. They are saying that she could get as big as J.K Rowlings and I know there's no way I will want to fight the crowds a couple of years down the road. I had a really good time and was able to get three of my books signed. Since there was five hundred people there I only got a "Hi Heather" but that's okay. I am thankful that Kevin made all the effort to get me a ticket to go.

WYATT THE SNAKE HUNTER #2

My snake hunter Wyatt came in this evening with this snake he found slithering across the road in front of our house. Don't worry we live on an end street. I am going to document all the snakes my kids find so at the end of the summer we'll see how many they caught. I know it sounds strange but if you have boys this isn't such a crazy idea.

LAGOON

Saturday we went to Lagoon for the day. Robbie had gotten some discounted tickets so we thought we would go have some fun. The weather was really nice. A little to warm in the afternoon but I managed and kept Maisey out of the sun as much as possible. It was a lot of fun. The kids had so much fun going on rides with their cousins. I was able to go on the Spider with Tarrin and it was so fun riding a ride with him. I screamed the whole time. Kevin was waiting at the exit of the ride with Trey and Maisey (Wyatt was riding rides with Tiff and kids)Trey could hear me screaming and told Kevin " The monsters are getting mom, I'll beat them" as he is holding up his fists. We had such a fun time! We stayed until they had to kick us out. The last ride Kevin took the boys on was the Terroride. Wyatt was acting scared but Kevin told him he had to ride it with his cousin ALi who is five years old. Ali put her arms around him and said "Don't worry, I'm brave!" She is so cute!

BRACES???

I met with an Orthodontist today to see about getting Invisalign for my bottom teeth. There pretty crooked. Most people don't notice that there crooked because when I smile you can't really see my bottom teeth. I guess I'm just not happy with the way they look. Well I can't get Invisalign on my bottom teeth since the roots turn in a little bit. I can get Invisalign for my top teeth and braces for my bottom teeth but it will cost the same for Invisalign whether you do one set or all together. The Orthodontist talked with me and suggested I do braces on both and do it right. Plus it's about a grand cheaper. He thinks I will be so much happier and have a awesome smile when I'm done. After looking at all the pictures they took and talking it over I think I have decided to do the braces. I am a little concerned being twenty eight years old and looking like an adolescent. Luckily they will be clear braces. I guess I should do it now since I will be paying for my kids to get braces in a few years. I haven't made an absolute decision yet and would love your feedback.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Wow, what a weekend! Here's a fun weekend wrapped into one post. Friday night Kev and I went to the Jazz game. What a night! It was such a fun game to be at. The playoffs are always fun games to watch. It was so loud and exciting! They won! if you don't follow basketball. I don't know why you wouldn't. It was fun having a date night with Kev.

Saturday I headed up to Logan to take my mom out to lunch for Mothers Day. We went to the Olive Garden and my little sister came with. Afterwards my mom watched the boys so I could go see my nieces dance recital. McKayla, Nicole and Ali did so good! They looked so cute in their costumes!
My sisters little girl Azzure was at my moms house and I was so excited to see her. It seems like forever since I've seen her. She gave me a big hug and told me all about her day. She is the sweetest little girl. Tarrin, Wyatt, and Trey had fun playing outside with her.

Later that night Chad and Emily came over for dinner and told us all about their trip to Hawaii. They had such a good time! Tarrin practiced baseball a little. The weather was really nice. Kevin's mom, dad, and Grandma stopped by on there way home from taking Grandma to dinner for Mothers Day. I was glad Kevin could see his mom since were not going to Logan today.

Sunday, Mothers Day. Kevin woke up and made me a yummy breakfast. Sacrament meeting was really nice with it's beautiful music and speakers paying tribute to mothers everywhere. We didn't get the usual flowers but instead chocolates, I wasn't disappointed. Later Kevin and the kids made bird feeders with pine cones. You smother them with peanut butter and roll them in bird seed and hang them up with string for the birds to eat. The kids had a blast and a good time doing a project with their dad. We have a Robin nest in one of our tree's. I am so glad the weather is getting nicer, My plants and trees are starting to bloom.




Kevin spoiled me this Mothers Day. He got me photo shop elements. I am so excited to use it. Also he got me a ticket to Stephanie Meyer's book signing and discussion this Friday. It comes with the new book The Host and a ticket for the signing. She will sign up to three books. I am so excited! She is such a fun writer! My husband is the best!


My mom is such a great example to me. She is the best mom and I don't know what I would do without her. I know it wasn't easy bringing nine children into this world. She has always been there for me. I know I can call her with any question and she will help me with any problem that I may have. I also have a great mother-in-law who raised such a good son. I am thankful that she raised Kevin to be such an attentive husband and father. I feel so blessed to be a mother. I am so grateful for my four beautiful children.

5 THINGS ABOUT MAISEY COLLEEN BERGSJO

1. Maisey is my only girl! I was so excited to get a girl that I would never believe my doctor when he told me it was a girl. I had to wait until she came out to make sure. I have always liked the name Maisey since I heard it on the movie Uncle Buck. The two little kids names were Miles and Maisey. I also like the name Miles. I heard it again when a couple moved into our ward and they had a little girl named Maisey, I think they spell it with a Z. They no longer live here but I do run into the mom ever now and then. Maisey's middle name is after me. I do call her Maisey May a lot after my grandma I have never met.

2. Maisey is such a happy baby. She always has big smiles for anyone that talks to her.

3. Maisey loves attention. She has to have someone holding her and talking to her all the time.

4. Maisey is so much fun. She is starting to giggle and trying very hard to roll over. She is almost there.

5. Maisey is such a blessing in our family. She makes us so happy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEA

So I do realize that these pictures would also embarrass me but I couldn't resist. I have known Lea since I was four years old. I have about a million memories of us growing up together. We got the chicken pox together one year on Halloween and bought our first training bra's together( She outgrew hers, I'm still in mine). Lea only lived a half a block from me and we were inseparable until middle school when we fell apart for awhile but started hanging out again in High School. I'm so glad that we did because today she is one of my closest friends. Happy Birthday Lea! Love ya.

MORE BIRTHDAY AND BLESSING

Today we went Logan and celebrated Wyatt's birthday with Kevin's family(My family is not big on birthdays, It's probably due to coming from such a big family and there is 24 grand kids. It was really fun. Wyatt's cousin Ashton is celebrating a birthday this week so Kim and I thought it would be nice to celebrate them at the same time. I think it worked out great. Thanks Kim for letting it be at your house. Wyatt was really excited for all his presents. Right after we sang happy birthday to Wyatt, Kevin told me that the cake smelled like it had gone bad or something. He suggested I smell it and I believed him. Well the picture tells it all. Before the birthday we went to my sister Amanda's church since they were blessing their baby girl Charly today. It was such a neat blessing. Amanda gave a beautiful testimony and made me cry. I am so thankful for such a wonderful sister. She is such a great friend and a great mother. I am so mad at myself for not taking pictures. All of family was there except for Jennifer who had to leave after the blessing. I could have taken pictures of everyone. Oh well, I guess there's Josh's wedding.

WHAT WENT ON TODAY, TAGGED AGAIN

Maisey is starting to like her swing a lot more. She will sit and look at the toys for awhile, which gives me a chance to get some much needed housework done. Today was pretty busy. They were celebrating Wyatt's birthday at preschool so Kevin thought it would be nice to make some cupcakes to take. So I started making cupcakes and finishing up the door decoration for Tarrin's teacher.

It's teacher appreciation next week and I volunteered to do Mrs. Schanz's door. When that was done I got dressed for the day. After dropping Wyatt off at school and putting the door decoration up me and the rest of the kids went and ran some errands. I had to go buy Wyatt's present today while he was at school so he wouldn't see it. After I stopped at Kevin's work to feed Maisey and eat some lunch. Then I went and picked up Wyatt and Sammie from school. Now I'm just sitting here thinking of all the housework and other things that need to get done. I'm exhausted from fut sol last night. Our game was at 9:00 p.m. You could definitely tell it was a later game. My reaction time was so slow. I didn't play that well but it worked out pretty good cause the other team had to forfeit so we just had a scrimmage. Just another day in the Bergsjo household.

GUESS WHO SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT?

15 days shy of four months old and Maisey slept through the night. I have never been a lucky parent to have babies that sleep through the night at a few months old. I think the soonest my kids slept through the night was not until at least six months old. Maisey went to bed around 10:00 and she didn't wake up until 7:00. Yeah!! Being the smart person I am, I didn't go to sleep until midnight. Just think, I could have had two extra hours of sleep. Maisey has turned into such a happy baby. She smiles all the time and has started to giggle. I love hearing her little squeal of delight when you talk to her.

WYATT TURNS FIVE TODAY!

Wyatt's birthday is today. He is five years old and I can't believe it! He is growing so much lately. It seems like he's grown a couple of inches in the last week. All of his pants that used to fit him are now to short. I asked Wyatt what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to go to Build a Bear in Layton. So this morning we went and picked up two of his friends Owen Francis and Tori Stevens. Tori's mom watched Maisey for me and Tarrin had no desire to go build a bear so we went in the afternoon while school was in. They had a fun time building their bears.
Wyatt built a triceratops with a dinosaur jogging suit and Trey built a crocodile wearing a dinosaur shirt. I never thought I would go to Build a Bear until Maisey got older but I was pleasantly surprised at all the boy stuff they had. Afterwords we went and had a pizza at Hungry Bear in Layton. The kids had a lot of fun! We will be having cake and ice cream for his birthday with Kevin's family in a few days. More on that later.


FIVE THINGS ABOUT WYATT ANTON BERGSJO

1. Wyatt is our mischievous little guy. When he gets in trouble, He puts a cute little smile on his face and it's hard to stay mad. The name Wyatt means little warrior and he sure is that. His middle name came from his great grandpa Oliver Anton. Kevin always loved the name Wyatt but it had to wear on me a little. Now I love it and think it fits him great. I think it's such a strong name. Wyatt Anton Bergsjo.

2. Wyatt loves to share. I never have to tell him to share. He is always offering to share his candy or toys. I think this is a second child thing.

3. Wyatt loves to be outside. He loves playing in the mud, running through the sprinklers, finding bugs or snakes, jumping on the tramp and eating otter pops. I usually have to first catch him and then carry him inside kicking and screaming to get him in the house.

4. Wyatt is a junk food junkie. I had to make a snack bucket that goes on my fridge, so he can't get to it. He used to walk in the kitchen every five minutes and eat junk food. We have found that he will actually grab a banana or something nutritious if he knows, he can't get to the candy. If I would let him he would eat candy and drink soda all day long.

5. Wyatt's loves to snuggle. He is always giving us hugs and kisses. First thing in the morning he needs a huge hug. Wyatt's our little daydreamer. I don't know if that's good or bad. Sometimes at school he would rather be off daydreaming then do his homework. I think it's just that he has a huge imagination. Don't get me wrong he's a smart little guy who is already reading but I think the whole sitting there and writing a letter of the alphabet over and over has him a little bored. Who wouldn't be? I told him that he better start liking it since he's going to be in school for a very long time.
