Christmas and lots of Family Fun!

My brother and his family arrived the Friday a week before Christmas. When they first got here we sat and visited for a minute and my brother told his wife Amanda to show me this cute new shirt that he had bought for her. She was wearing a zip up hoodie so you couldn't see what was on underneath. Well she stood up and showed us. There wasn't a new shirt but a baby bump! She is about fifteen weeks along and we are so excited for them. I had to give them a hard time because they kept it from me but I have to admit it was a fun way of finding out!

On Saturday we got some snow and the kids all went out to play in it except Wyatt who was getting over a sickness. I was glad we got some snow because my nieces don't ever get to see it and play in it. Ella and Maisey had fun playing with eachother and the kids had so much fun and were outside for hours!

On Saturday night we had our Fiagle Family Christmas party with the adults. My niece Meagan and her friend watched mine and my brothers kids. We had dinner at Iggy's and then went to my sister's house and played games. It was a blast! It is always a good time hanging out with my family. We sure do know how to laugh and have a good time!

We went and saw Tangled while my sister and her husband took my brother snowmobiling. It was such a cute movie! I absolutely loved it and lucky for Maisey Santa brought her a baby Rupunzel for Christmas!

During the week my sister and SIL and I made these cute little stocking that look like long johns. It was fun to work on a project but I found out that I am not very good at hand sewing things (I pretty much suck at it). My SIL Amanda did most of my stockings and helped me out a ton. Thanks Amanda!

On Christmas eve we made a nice dinner and had some of my family over. I have an open door policy at my house and the more the merrier. We had lots of people coming and going and it was a blast! There is nothing like sharing your home with people that you love. I am especially glad that my sister Amanda comes down almost everyday that they are here. We have a great time.

Christmas was so much fun this year. The kids were so happy and it was fun to watch open their presents. They also had cousins to play with which made it extra fun! Their favorites were a wii game for Tarrin, Wyatt loved his Dippin Dots maker and had a blast making them for his cousins. Trey liked his video camera and cars and Maisey loved her princess dolls and Rupunzel dress.

Later we went to Kevin's sisters house to open presents and have lunch. The kids are always spoiled by Kevin's parents. Tarrin got the Inkheart books and a DS game, Wyatt got a magic kit and some cool books about wild creatures, Trey got some lincoln logs and a race track, Maisey got a dress up box and paper dolls. They were super excited and had lots of fun!

Later we went over to my parents house. It was nice to see everyone and visit. I got to see my newphews Tyson and Taylor who I don't get to see very often. It was fun but we were beat!

It was a wonderful day, Filled with people that we love. I am thankful for the true meaning of Christmas, The birth of our Savior.

My brother Shawn was deployed on the 26th of December. He is heading to Bagram Afganistan to serve our country. I am so proud of him! I am so grateful to all the men and women who serve our country so that we can be free! I love you Shawn and I'm going to miss you!

Fun Times

My brother and his family left today after a fun filled week. Kev and I love having them come and we are always sad to see them leave. We had a blast and can't wait to tell you all about it but first I need to recoup and get some things done around my house. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I hope my brother travels safely back to California now that we are finally getting some snow.

Chocolate Crinkles

I spent the better half of yesterday making and cooking my mom's Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. I have been handed down a lot of my moms recipes and my two favorites are her buttermilk rolls which we love on Thanksgiving and these Chocolate Crinkles. I just love them!

While I'm talking about cookies I better tell you about these. I sampled this Lacey's cookies at Costco and about died okay I didn't really almost die but they were so good! If you love toffee you will love them!

Baptism, muskrat, Zeppes and Santa

Saturday morning we woke up to Wyatt and Trey really excited because an animal was in their window well. It was a baby muskrat! Kevin was going to kill it but I asked him not to and Maisey said "Please don't kill it daddy" So that was that and the muskrat was going to have to stay in the window well for awhile because we needed to hurry and get to my niece Allisen's baptism.

Alisen's baptism was at ten in the morning. I decided to see if my sister would watch Trey and Maisey because Kevin wasn't going to be able to make it and I wanted to listen without all of the interruptions. They had a great time playing with their cousins. Thanks Mandy! The baptism was sweet and my niece looked so pretty in her baptism dress. We our so proud of her decision to be baptised. I wanted to get a picture of her with Wyatt. They are the same age and Wyatt will be the next to be baptised.

After the baptism The kids and I went to go to Zeppes with Kevin's parents. Kevin's mom wanted to take all of the grandkids to get a gelata after their primary programs. It's rare we are up in Logan when its not on a Sunday so I thought we better do it. It was fun for the kids to get some ice cream with their grandparents and Aunt michelle.

Later that night was Kevin's work Christmas party for the kids. They love seeing Santa! Maisey loved seeing Santa and was so excited to see him. A far cry from last year when she was terrified of Santa. The kids loved their gifts. Maisey got a Dora castle, Wyatt a plane that flies really far ( we found out after church today), Tarrin a twenty questions electronic game, and Trey got a tool box with tools. They also had milk and cookies, Yum! It was really fun. Afterwards we went to a new Chinese restaurant and had some dinner. It was yummy. It was a busy day but a good one.

The Office

Seriously the funniest show ever! I can't get over tonight's episode. From trying to take a picture while everyone is jumping to Dwight and the snow ball fight. Love it!

Happy Birthday Kevin!

Today is Kevin's birthday and he is thirty three years old! We went to dinner last night and had some wonderful sushi! Hans and Heidi offered to watch the kids so we could have a nice dinner out. It was so nice and we were stuffed by the time we were done. This morning Maisey and I went and got Kevin some balloons and a cheesecake and took it to his work. I think he was happy that nobody knew it was his birthday but here walks in Maisey so proud of her balloons that she picked out for her dad. We even got the guy to blush so it was all worth it. So Happy Birthday to the guy who makes my life so worthwhile. Love ya!

Over the Weekend

This weekend was a busy one but fun. I finally got the Christmas tree up, I decided to put up our old one. We thought that this year we would get a real one but I decided to just use the one we had. I put it in the corner instead of in front of the window and it gave us some more room. The kids are getting so excited for Christmas but they are equally excited to see their cousins from California. We love having them and I am also excited to spend a week with them.

Friday was Kevin's Christmas party. It is always at the Timbermine. The food is great and it was funny this year because one of the guys that works in Honda I went to school with. It's such a small world.

I had two photo shoots over the weekend and I am done for the rest of December. So now it is time to relax and enjoy the Holidays! I found out this weekend that my SIL Kari is pregnant with her fifth child due in May. I am so excited for her. I was hoping to have someone in my family have a baby. It was about time that we all get to hold a little baby again.

Kev and I went to see a movie On Saturday and it was nice to get out and have a date. Only two more years and Tarrin will be able to babysit!

Maisey's new glasses

Maisey was so excited to wear her new PURPLE glasses! She picked them out all by herself. I just hope she will actually wear these ones better than her last ones that she broke. Trey keeps saying she looks like a teacher.

Christmas Poem

Sitting around the Christmas
tree having lots of fun,
nobody knows what this Christmas is going to become!

My brothers are chasing each other
My little sister is playing,
while I'm just sitting here having fun laying!

We're sitting in our beds
eager for our presents,
Santa better visit our house before our hope lessens.

Ripping off our covers
Running for our gold,
a lot of fun and surprises and it never gets too old!

Thanksgiving and fun in the snow!

Thanksgiving weekend was really fun! Thursday we had Thanksgiving dinner at Kevin's brother Rob's house. It was delicious! he smoked a turkey and it was so juicy and moist! Kevin and I did the creamed corn ( a yummy recipe from Kev's cousin Heidi ) and I made a couple of pies( pecan and peach). Kev also took up a bunch of cocktail shrimp for an appetizer. We had a good time visiting with family. I even got to visit with my SIL who is in nursing school. We used to talk everyday, sometimes twice and now she is so busy with school that we hardly get to talk anymore. It almost brought me to tears but I sucked it up. I was just glad to visit with her. Thank you so much Tara for having dinner at your house, Your the best!

On Wednesday night Kev and I and the kids went and saw Despicable Me. It was a really good movie! I thought it was really funny but I am pretty sarcastic so maybe that's why I liked it so much. I also really like Steve Carell so that's probably another reason. We had a good time munching on popcorn and watching a movie together. Maisey was pretty good and remained in her seat most of the movie.

Yesterday we made a Thanksgiving dinner. I really wanted some more turkey! Kev and I made all of the fixings. Our neighbor Hans hurt his back really bad and has been basically bed ridden so when Kev was over snow plowing he told him we would bring him over some dinner. Well dumb me loaded up a big plate and headed over in the snow to take it to him. I decided to just hurry and put on Kevin's boots. Well I didn't tie up the laces very well and ended up tripping and almost landing face first in the snow! The food went all over the road! I was so irritated with myself but when I got back in the house Kev was just making sure I wasn't hurt. Kev took over another plate and when he got back we just laughed at it all. It's too bad nobody saw it, it probably would have been really funny to watch. It was a fun weekend and I am so glad to share it with people I love.

I guess it's time to round up all of the kids gloves, hats and boots. Trey and Maisey went outside today to have some fun in the snow. They are so funny to watch!

Maisey throwing snow in the air. She's so silly!
Maisey loving the snow!

Dress-up anyone?

If you know Maisey very well dressing up is a daily occurence. My neighbor Anessa gave Maisey all of these old costumes that her girls wore for dance. Maisey is in heaven and wears one everyday! Her favorite is the Tinkerbell one which I am sure most of you have seen her in. She not only wore it for Halloween she has to put it on at least a couple of times a day. A couple of weeks ago she ran out of the house wearing the costume with nothing else on underneath. It was freezing outside! She fights Kevin and I when we tell her its time for bed and she needs to put pajama's on. Today when I was getting her ready she threw a fit because I made her take off her dress and put on jeans. She screamed "I hate pants, mom!" I love the fact that she is girlie but I think she is rather extreme!

Christmas

We are done Christmas shopping for the kids! I never thought it would happen but shortly into November we were done! I am mostly excited because I hate shopping in huge crowds of people. Next it is to get the Christmas decorations up but that might take me awhile. I think I may have to buy a little tree this year while my brother and his family are visiting. The tree I have is beautiful but takes up most of my front room, and we are short on room when we have company. I got a text from Carly the last week to tell me Merry Christmas she had just put her tree up! I told her she was crazy! I didn't even want to think about Christmas yet it wasn't even Thanksgiving! Well the Christmas music in the car and my kids talking about it, The Christmas spirit has moved in and now I am all about Christmas!

Playing the guitar

Here is T and Wyatt playing their guitar. They now have been doing lessons for about three months and I am excited about their progress.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Last week was Parent Teacher Conferences and I have to admit Trey is such a wild one that I was wondering what his teacher had to say about him. When we first sat down Trey and Kevin were teasing each other and the teacher just looks at us and says "That's the most lively I have ever seen Trey" I just looked at her like she must be kidding. I looked at her and said " This kid sitting right here beside me?" She's like Yeah " He just comes to class, Sits down and listens and does his work" He is such a good kid" Kevin and I both look at each other shocked! Apparently he is quite the good little student. Who would have thought it! Wyatt is doing great and his taking after his big brother. Tarrin is now reading and comprehending at a post High School level so we are looking into getting him tested for some accelerated classes for next year. He may have to switch schools but we are keeping our options open and are going to see what happens. I was pleasantly surprised and when we get good reports back from their teachers, They get to pick out a book at the book fair. They had fun choosing their books out and going home and reading them.

Church

Maisey has some entitlement issues and they sure do come out at church. She thinks she is entitled to a handful of bread and more than one cup of water during the sacrament. This was funny when she did it the first few times, ya know one of those funny silly things they do as two year old but now it is just embarrassing! Sunday when I preyed the cup from her fingers to put it back because she was taking so long, She preceded to scream because she didn't get her way so Kevin took her out. We were sitting close to the front so he took her out the side door near the front. As she is kicking and screaming she reaches up and smacks Kevin in the face one hand smacking the back and one smacking the front. I guess everyone thought this was funny because as I looked around everyone was trying to keep a straight face(even the bishopric). I too thought it was a little funny but seriously the girl is such a pill sometimes.

Scrabble

My new favorite thing is Scrabble on the Ipod! Yes, I know I am a nerd but if a have a few extra minutes in the day I will be playing Scrabble. Scrabble is the game my family always played together when I was younger. I have great memories playing Scrabble. Kevin say's I am addicted but I didn't even pick it up until 4:30 today so I can't be addicted right?

Playing with puppies

My friend Amanda called to see if the kids wanted to come and see some cute little puppies that her dad is selling. Of course the kids wanted to go. They are the cutest things in the world! I couldn't get over their cute little faces. The kids were in heaven, Thanks Amanda for thinking of us!

Happy Halloween!

My two clone troopers, fairy and knight, waiting to go to the ward Halloween carnival on Friday. The Young Men and Young Women's were in charge of it. Heidi Cookson and I were in charge of the fish pond. It was fun to see all the kids in their costumes. On Saturday we carved pumpkins and I took the kids to the Treehouse for their Halloween party and we went to the library and made some fun Halloween crafts. Kevin had to work so he wasn't able to go trick of treating with us. Anessa and I took the kids around the neighborhood. I always am shocked at all of the candy the kids get. I think we see at least a couple hundred kids while were out. When the kids started to complain that there bags were too heavy I told them we better call it a night but they wouldn't let me so we had to trick or treat a little more. Trey was a little nosy and when we were trick or treating at somebodies house he asked the lady if she was making dinner and at another place he yelled to me " Hey mom, I remember going to this old lady's house last year" I was so embarrassed but I don't think she heard because she was pretty old. Me and Anessa got a good chuckle!

Trey didn't want to wear his knight costume the night of trick or treating so I just put this glow in the dark mask on and a hat and we called it good.

Tarrin carved this Pickachu pumpkin.

Overall it was a really fun day and the kids had a blast. I was really bummed and the kids were to that Kevin wasn't able to be there. Now I get to stare at all this candy and try not to eat too much of it. The kids are at school and what they don't know what hurt them right?

Wyatt's swollen face

Wyatt's face is finally back to normal. A few of days ago he was crying all night that his tooth hurt. That next morning I got him into the dentist and they did a root canal. Well that night Wyatt was crying that his tooth hurt and I just thought it was sore from the root canal. When I saw him that morning I was shocked! He was all swollen and crying. We called the dentist and he met with us twenty minutes later. When Wyatt was getting his root canal a pocket of air got down in the tooth. He put him on antibiotics and gave him some lortab for the pain. Wyatt is mostly out of pain with the medicine but from what the dentist said it could take three or four days for the swelling to go down and he could have some bruising! It has been such a horrible experience for Wyatt and he had to miss his Halloween party at school. He was still a little swollen for trick or treating but that didn't slow him down. We are glad to have our handsome little Wyatt back and that he is no longer in pain!

We made some cupcakes the other day. The worms turned out a little too orange but the kids didn't seem to mind. Thank goodness there all gone because they are messy!

Sleeping Fairy

Maisey loves her wings and Tinkerbell outfit. She at least let me put on her pajama's underneath so she would stay warm.

Funny words from our kids

When we were leaving to go to the Enchanted Woods Forest I was in a hurry and didn't realize until we were at the end of my street that I still had my slippers on.(My feet are always cold) I started laughing and went back to put on some shoes. I thought it was pretty funny considering if I wouldn't have noticed I would have been wearing slippers because we had tickets to be there at a certain time. Tarrin didn't think it was that funny and just gave me a funny look and said "Mom, You have a weird sense of humor"

It was Kev's day off and we were running some errands. Trey kept doing something that was bugging us and Kev said "Trey you really like to push the envelope" Trey replied "Wheres the envelope dad, I don't see it" "What's an envelope" The kid is so silly!

Maisey is talking so much and fast! The other day when Kevin came home she was telling him all about her day. She didn't stop for five minutes. I had never heard her go on and on like that. She says bout for about. It's pretty funny.

We were playing at the park and Maisey found a new little friend to play with. When it was time to go she said "Bye brother I love you"

These were things Tarrin said when he was little and I don't think I have them in any of my blog books so I thought I better put it in.

A couple of weeks after we brought Wyatt home from the hospital I was getting him dressed and Tarrin was watching me closely and said " Mom, he's just big and orange" Another time he said " He has little hair and he's big"

When Tarrin was almost three and we were at Raging Waters I asked him if he wanted to go int the lazy pool again. He replied " No, I don't want to it's too wet!"

I was taking Tarrin to the doctor and while we were waiting he told the receptionist " I don't like checkups and I don't like haircuts!" He was three at the time.

We were talking to Tarrin about going into the C.T.R class at the first of the year and he said " I don't like CTR" and I explained that it meant choose the right and he said "I want to choose the left way!"

Wyatt at two and a half called pancakes pan-a-cakes. he still might

I was telling Tarrin that what I thought he was doing wasn't funny and Wyatt piped up and said "Yeah and I know funny!"

The Enchanted Woods

Yesterday I took the kids to The Enchanted Woods at the Treehouse Museum. We went on a quest to help King Arthur find the golden rose. The story book characters were really neat. At each station we listened to a character tell us a story about themselves. We saw Robin Hood, Snow White, Humpty Dumpty, One of the Three Little Pigs, Lot's of knights, King Arthur, Princesses, The girl from Rumpelstiltskin, A Pirate and Dorothy and the Scarecrow. I think Wyatt and Trey liked it the most. Tarrin was a little bit old and I think it bored him a little and Maisey did pretty good but I think she was a little tired and wanted me to carry her for a little while. They came home with goodies and fun stories to share.

The king kissing the princess to wake her up. He used a sturdy book so the kids didn't see the kiss.

Humpty Dumpty, What an awesome costume!

Maisey listening to one of the stories. She was already tired and it had just started.

Dorothy and the scarecrow. So cute!

Wyatt and Trey were knights. We still do not know what the kids are actually going to be for Halloween. Wyatt and Trey are going to be knights but Maisey has a few costumes to choose from and Tarrin has no idea what he wants to be. Tarrin didn't want to wear a costume to The Enchanted Forest.
