Colleen facebooked me to see if I wanted to do the Kiss Me Dirty mud run. I wasn't sure if I would think it was very fun but it so was! It was fun to dress up silly and run with the Lunachicks (Our team name) Colleen made some cute tank tops that had our our team name on them. It was a fun bunch of girls and I loved every second of it.

Camp Fife

Wyatt came home from camp Fife with gifts for his siblings. He went to the trading post and got Tarrin a shark tooth, Trey a shirt, and Maisey a rock in the shape of a heart (He said thats all they had as far as girl stuff went). He is the sweetest boy ever and always thinking of others. He had a special treat while he was there. He went in to have lunch and saw his cousin Payson and they were able to eat lunch together. He said he had a lot of fun!

Jaron's Birthday

It was Jaron's first birthday and probably the last baby on my side of the family at least for awhile and my SIL Kari decided to have a fun party. We ate, watched a movie outside, watched the kids hit the pinata, which was hilarious! We had a good time goofing off and just having fun. I love my brothers and sisters!

I saw this on Pinterest and just had to do it with Maisey. She is so into princesses and dressing up. The chair is my old rocking chair from when I was three years old.

Trey and baseball

Trey was the only one to play baseball this season. I was happy when my friend Carly called me to see if Trey wanted to play with a bunch of the boys in the ward. Carly's husband Darin was coaching and so of course Trey was really excited to be with all of his buddies! I kept forgetting to bring my camera and I just thought I would have to do it his last game. Well I forgot I was doing pictures for the Young Women in my ward and wasn't going to be there. Kevin forgot also to take some on his phone so when I got home I took a couple. As you can see Trey is always wearing the green hat with the face. It's his favorite and he usually doesn't leave home without it. We had a lot of fun watching him and his friends. It was especially nice to visit with friends while they played. Trey had a lot of fun and is excited to play next year! 

 

Summertime

We have been having a great summer so far. I took the boys out of guitar for the summer so we could just relax and have a good time. I didn't want any distractions and just wanted to spend every second doing things together and having fun. I am always a little bit concerned with summer time just because the kids are all together all of the time and tend to fight a lot but I have been pleasantly surprised that things have been going pretty well in that aspect. They are growing up so fast and I feel like I am at a time in my life to just slow down and take it all in. We have been going to the library, the splash pad, the park and got season passes to Lagoon. I have been enjoying having the time to nurture a lot of my friendships and do things with family so that they can be around their cousins. So YEAH for Summertime!

Grandpa and Grandma Bergsjo

On Sunday I needed to go to Logan and see my dad to get an adjustment because my back and neck have been bothering me. I was thinking about Kevin's grandparents a lot and lately and if you are in Relief Society you have heard me talk a lot about the kind of people they were and how much I loved them dearly.  I decided it would be a good time to go and visit their grave site. We didn't get up there on Memorial Day and I thought it would be a good idea to take the kids up and tell them all about Grandpa and Grandma. Grandpa only got to meet Tarrin and Wyatt and when Grandma passed away Trey was only one. It makes me sad that Maisey never go to meet them but we try to tell them stories all the time so they can get a glimpse of their Grandparents. I have always thought very highly of Kevin's Grandparents and I was lucky to meet them when I was just fifteen years old. Grandma was a sweet, caring women and a great Grandmother. She would always hold the little kids and read them stories. When I had Tarrin my mom told me Grandma Bergsjo had called her and told my mom what a great mother she thought I was. That has always stuck with me and whenever things get crazy, I remember what Grandma said and I think if Grandma thought I was a great mother then I better make sure that I live up to that. I loved sitting on Grandma's patio and visiting with her and she would let me a part of her world for a little while. A couple of days before Grandma passed away I was able to talk with her one last time. We told each other how much we loved each other and I will always treasure the times that we spent together. Grandpa Bergsjo was a character and I loved his personality so much.  He could always make me laugh and had such a zest for life. I remember all of his funny comments and the one time he asked what I was chewing on and I said gum and asked him if he wanted some and he said "Of course" and then preceded to blow big bubbles with a huge wad of gum in his mouth. I remember at our wedding he asked for a kiss on the cheek and when I went to give him one he hurried and turned his head so I kissed him right on the lips! He just gave me one of his mischievous smiles and we laughed about it. I often see that same look on Trey's face and it makes me miss him so much. Kevin swears I was his favorite but I think Grandpa just had such a big heart and a lot of love. Quite often after we leave Logan Kevin will mention that he misses his Grandparents and I have to agree.  They were wonderful people and I was so lucky to be apart of their lives.

 The kids have started the reading program at the library so every week they get to go in and get their prize for their reading minutes. This week it was duck shaped whistles that sounded like a duck when you blew into them. The kids had a blast driving me crazy with them. They like to go to the library and am grateful that they all love to read. Wyatt is into reading scary books. He enjoys them a lot but we have told him not to read them to his little brother or sister because they get scared at the littlest things. When we were in the library Tarrin saw a sign the the Reptile man was coming that night with his reptiles so I took the kids to see it. It would have been really interesting and fun but was not organized at all and you couldn't hear him over the little kids. I was starting to get claustrophobic in a small room with a bunch of people and a ton of snakes. Other than that I think the kids had a good time.



 

 The kids have loved going to the splash pad in Harrisville and I have too. I love that its close to home and its easy to keep an eye on the kiddos. We have already been three time in the last week or so and I love relaxing and reading a book or visiting with friends while the kids play. I can tell its going to be a nice, relaxing summer.


     

Girls trip 2012

My mom and sisters went to St. George again this year and had a blast! We hung out by the pool, went to a couple of funny movies and laughed a ton! I got to see my friend Amy and visit with her for awhile at the Tooth Fairy. I wished she lived closer so we could see each other more! It's a fun tradition that we started and I hope we keep it up. Tara watched the kids for me while Kevin was at work. She is the best SIL I could ever ask for.

Second season of soccer

The second season of soccer is over. Trey really liked his coach and did really good. Wyatt did a great job but I don't think he wants to play again. He says he wants to play basketball again so I guess that's what we will do. It was fun watching the boys and going to the games but is nice to have Saturday mornings free again.
