Halloween 2011

My kids have had a good time so far dressing up for Halloween. Tarrin wanted to be Link from Zelda but I couldn't get him to wear some boots of mine and some tights. I wonder why he was pitching such a fit over it? He ended up with the hat and shirt and seems to be pretty happy about that. I found Wyatt's costume at Cosco and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was put together. I have to say he makes a pretty neat pirate! We stopped by Kevin's work today and I had Wyatt go in first to see if Kevin would even recognize him and he didn't! He just thought he was some kid there with his parent's until Wyatt said "Hi, Dad" He didn't even know that Wyatt was going to be a pirate. Trey was going to be a dead soccer player but then saw the Wizard costume that I had bought last year at the Smith and Edwards toy sale. I think he makes a wonderful Wizard and him and Wyatt went outside and found him a magical stick that he can use as his wizard wand. I was hoping maybe we would find another Bull frog to put in a little cage for him to carry around and tell people he put a spell on one of his brothers and turned them into a frog. Maisey his obsessed with princess's and can't wait to meet some real ones at Disneyland in a month. It was no surprise that she wanted to be one for Halloween. She loves the movie Tangled and tells everyone that she is going to be Rapunzel when she grows up. It's funny because when someone asks her what she is going to be for Halloween she says "Tangled".

We went to the library today to participate in their Halloween festivities and it was a lot of fun. The kids had fun making crafts and playing Halloween bingo. Tarrin's name was drawn and he won a book. I love my kiddo's!

Halloween Parties

Maisey's dance class had a Halloween party on Wednesday. Maisey had so much fun! They learned a fun dance to a Halloween song and went trick or treating to the teachers door. She loves dance so much and had a great time with her friends.

My brother James had a Halloween party for the adults last night. It was fun to dress up for a change. I'm a vampire and my friend Cristine is a Zombie. Cristine helped me take in my costume a little because I had to buy a bigger size because they were out of everything. She's the best! The party was a hit. We had a gangster, cowgirl and cowboy, pirate, two vampires, baby, center of the universe, stands with fists, witch teacher from Harry Potter, hippie, mime, and my scary husband as a monk! It was a lot of fun!

The Frog

I found this frog while I was out mowing the lawn and found a bucket to throw it in while I finished up the law. Maisey didn't know what to think about it and would just stare at it. She usually doesn't mind creepy things but I think it was a little slimy for her. I put it back in the bucket and found a crate to put over it until the boys got home from school. I was so disappointed when I went to show them that it had gotten away! The boys were not happy at all but hopefully we will see Mr. frog again.

Tarrin turns Eleven

Tarrin turned eleven on Tuesday! I can't believe he is eleven. We had cake and ice cream in Logan with Kevin's family on Sunday. My SIL Tara made his Zelda cake which he loved! She is so great at making cakes. He is so into Zelda right now and loved his Zelda shield cake. We gave him a amazon gift card(he likes to order what he wants) and a big book on facts about the world. He digs that kind of stuff and Kevin's parents gave him a glow in the dark ant farm. His aunts and uncles gave him some money and he loves to be able to go and pick out what he wants. The older they get the harder it is to get them what they want.

He had a party with a few friends on Wednesday. They played Xbox and had pizza. It was nice to meet some of his friends from school. He had a huge smile on his face most of the night and and had a blast!
