Halibut Au gratin.
We were spoiled this weekend, we had two dinner date's with friends. Both nights we went to new places and both nights were excellent. Friday night we met up with Chad, Emily and Kennedy Oman, Justin, Natalie and Chaselyn Weeks and Shawn and Diana Brewer at Taggart's Grill just east of Morgan. I had the Halibut Au gratin and Kevin had the Pot Roast. For desert there were too many choices Kevin had the key lime cheesecake and I had a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. They also had a almond carrot cake that looked delicious. I guess we will have to go back. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. However be prepared for a long wait. Shawn and Diana got there at 6:15 and we were seated at 7:30. Luckily I had a Fut sol game (we won) and did not get there until 7:20. Justin and Natalie brought their little girl Chaselyn who is a month older than Maisey. It was fun to see what a difference a month will make.

Saturday night we met up with Bronson, Haley and their cute little boy Dawson. We went to Thaifoon a restaurant in Salt Lake at the Gateway. Bronson and Haley have been there before. It was really good! We had it family style. We each ordered a different dish, plus one more. We had Evil jungle princess chicken and Firecracker chicken. Drunken shrimp. Lemon grass crusted Mahi Mahi. Thaifoons pork ribs. It was wonderful! It wasn't a traditional Thai menu, but nevertheless it was delicious!

Afterwords Bronson suggested Gourmandise, a local bakery, for desert. The choices were overwhelming and it was hard to choose just one. I think I gained a pound just looking at all of the deserts. Kevin got the blueberry cheesecake and I had the chocolate mousse cake. Bronson and Haley copied us and had the same. Ha, ha. The bakery had a fun atmosphere. A place to sit and chat with your hot chocolate and desert. I am so excited, I think we found a couple that loves food as much as us!
Every desert and pastry looked this good!
