WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY

The weather has been so nice today. Wyatt and Trey have barely been inside. They are having so much fun playing outside with all of their friends.(Which means they will be so exhausted by bed time) Chewy got a haircut today so I think he feels better without all that hair in his eyes. I am happier with the sunshine. Overall today is turning out pretty nice!

Wyatt and Trey, Alise Machen, Tori and Dallin Stevens and Mia Moffett on the swingset.

Wyatt likes to swing this way.

WEEKEND OF FOOD- MY IDEA OF HEAVEN!

Halibut Au gratin.

We were spoiled this weekend, we had two dinner date's with friends. Both nights we went to new places and both nights were excellent. Friday night we met up with Chad, Emily and Kennedy Oman, Justin, Natalie and Chaselyn Weeks and Shawn and Diana Brewer at Taggart's Grill just east of Morgan. I had the Halibut Au gratin and Kevin had the Pot Roast. For desert there were too many choices Kevin had the key lime cheesecake and I had a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. They also had a almond carrot cake that looked delicious. I guess we will have to go back. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. However be prepared for a long wait. Shawn and Diana got there at 6:15 and we were seated at 7:30. Luckily I had a Fut sol game (we won) and did not get there until 7:20. Justin and Natalie brought their little girl Chaselyn who is a month older than Maisey. It was fun to see what a difference a month will make.

Saturday night we met up with Bronson, Haley and their cute little boy Dawson. We went to Thaifoon a restaurant in Salt Lake at the Gateway. Bronson and Haley have been there before. It was really good! We had it family style. We each ordered a different dish, plus one more. We had Evil jungle princess chicken and Firecracker chicken. Drunken shrimp. Lemon grass crusted Mahi Mahi. Thaifoons pork ribs. It was wonderful! It wasn't a traditional Thai menu, but nevertheless it was delicious!

Afterwords Bronson suggested Gourmandise, a local bakery, for desert. The choices were overwhelming and it was hard to choose just one. I think I gained a pound just looking at all of the deserts. Kevin got the blueberry cheesecake and I had the chocolate mousse cake. Bronson and Haley copied us and had the same. Ha, ha. The bakery had a fun atmosphere. A place to sit and chat with your hot chocolate and desert. I am so excited, I think we found a couple that loves food as much as us!

Every desert and pastry looked this good!

CAN YOU SAY FIRE TRUCK?

My brother Peter's work had a Grand Opening for their store in Roy today. The kids got to see a fire truck up close. All the kids (Except Maisey of course) got to sit in the drivers seat and push the horn and the siren. They also had hot dogs, chips, and drinks. It was a lot of fun! Trey tried on the Fireman's helmet. He said "Too heavy, Mom. Too heavy" The kids really enjoyed themselves. Thanks Peter!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMI!!!

Happy Birthday Tami!! I thought these pictures would bring back some memories of going to St. George and you being a bridesmaid at my wedding. I miss you living so far away. You are such a great friend! You have always been there for me and have been so supportive. I will always remember skipping school, Going to dances, Hanging out at your house( I practically lived there), Going to St. George, Going up the steep hill in your stick shift car, Getting in a car wreck, and sleepovers(sneaking out). Hopefully your mom doesn't read this. I have so many more memories. I am so thankful to have a friend like you. I love ya!! I remember you like Sting so that's why this song is playing.

BABY LEGS

About a month ago when I was feeding Maisy at church, I was talking to my friend kim Hales and complaining that they don't have tights small enough for Maisy. She told me about Baby Legs. They are like leg warmers for babies and kids. They are really good in the summer when they are crawling and you just want to have a onesi on them, But you don't want them to hurt their little knees. They are really cute under dresses too. They come in all colors and prints. They are so cute!! A week later Kim showed up at my door with these cute little pink ones. I love them! www.babylegs.net

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

I just finished watching idol. I'm so irritated. The only person who I wanted to win, Gets sent home. I guess I don't need to watch it anymore. I loved all his performances! My favorite ones were "Billy Jean by David Cook and Dream on" I can still remember going over to Lea's house when were teenagers and her belting out this song when she thought no one was listening. Dream on, Dream on, Dream on.

TREY'S MAD SHIRT

For about a couple of weeks now, Trey has been making us laugh by referring to his two striped shirts as his mad shirts. We have no idea why he calls them this. Everyday when I'm trying to get him dressed, He wants to wear one of his mad shirts. We have asked him why he calls them mad shirts but we really can't get a strait answer. I also hear "Let me tell you something" every time he wants to tell me something. What a silly kid! You'll need to push pause on the music so you can hear the video.
