Maisey is Four!

I like to tell a little bit about the kids when they turn another year older and am behind a little. Well my sweet little girl turned four on the 15th of January. It's crazy and a little sad that this will be my last one but I am taking the time to stop and treasure every little moment with her. I am so grateful that I can be a stay at home mom and focus all of my attention on the kids. Maisey is my little side kick and goes everywhere with me. She still loves dressing up, lip gloss and anything girlie you can imagine. She told me yesterday that she does not want to watch Dino Dan ever again because it is for boys! If she had her way she would wear a dress everyday and have her hair down. I don't know why she is so funny about that. She does have beautiful hair so maybe she likes to show it off. Her and her friend Hannah get together every other day and play dress up, put on plays and anything else you can imagine. Maisey gets along great with all of her brothers and lately especially Trey. They will play for hours and it makes me so happy to see them get along so good. Maisey likes to stay up and wait for Kevin to come home so they can just sit and talk about her day. I just absolutely love this girl and the light that she brings into our lives! Love you Maisey!

New Callings

Well I was sustained last week in Sacrament. I am now a Activity leader for the 8 and 9 yr. old girls. I am still teaching Relief Society once a month so now I will have two callings. I am excited to be with the girls again. I was an Activity leader when we first moved here for a few years and so I am excited to get back into the swing of things. I will be with Misty which should be lots of fun.

Kevin is teaching Sunday school with Brian Masuisui and loving it, He is also a Stake Auditor and Last week found out that he will be doing one more calling. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to say yet. So we will be busy but we are grateful for the opportunity to serve.

Trip to the Fire Station

Maisey had her field trip to the Fire Station on Monday and had lots of fun! They first watched a video on fire safety and then learned how to stop, drop, and roll.

Then they all got their fire helmets.

They got to see one of the Fire men all dressed in their uniform. Maisey was a little scared.

Sitting in the ambulance listening to some really important safety rules!

Watching the lights and listening to the sirens.

Waiting in line to drive the big fire truck.

Sitting in the big fire truck! What a fun time. Preschoolers can be so entertaining!

Trey's Surgery

Trey had his Ear tube surgery today. Everything went nice and smooth and Dr. Munz got all the junk out of his ears and put in some new tubes. We had to be down to the Hospital at 7:30 so Heidi came over and got the kids up and ready and took them to her house for breakfast and got them on the bus and then took Maisey over to Tiffany's house where she got to play with Allie and have so much fun! I just love my friends and neighbors so much! Trey was so brave and I think he just wanted to get it over with and get home. After his surgery he told me he wanted to go home. They didn't give him any drugs other than Tylenol so we were free to leave soon after. I am so thankful for modern medicine! Trey can hear again!

Trey's right ear has been pretty infected so he doesn't like it when they look at it. The nurse and then the doctor said it was pretty bad. Dr. Munz said it was like wet rubber cement in his ear. Good think they got it all sucked out!

Trey getting checked over before surgery.

Walking to the waiting room to meet with the anesthesiologist and Dr. Munz before going into surgery.

Trey didn't even want a hug! I think he just wanted to get the show on the road and I was holding him up.

After surgery. Trey doesn't like hospitals.

Maisey's friend party

Maisey had a Tangeled party with some of her little friends. I made some frying pan necklaces, jello boats, flower cupcakes and Tarrin made some pretty darn good Pascal cupcakes. We played musical frying pans, each kid painted on a canvas for Maisey and watched Tangeled with some yummy popcorn. Afterwards we let some of the floating lanterns into the sky. Maisey had so much fun and loved every minute of it!

It was super cold but the girls didn't seem to mind!

All of the girls painted on the canvas. Rapunzel loved to paint in her tower and the girls had fun taking turns and painting away!

The girls took home with them a frying pan necklace. You can't have a tangeled party without the frying pan!

Tarrin did such a good job on his Pascal cupcakes! He helped out so much and I was so grateful!

Maisey wanted to wear her hair in a braid with flowers like Rapunzel.

Rapunzel paints to take home!

Jello boats to remember the scene in the movie when Rapunzel and Flyn Rider take a boat ride.
The painting was a hit! Laynee really got into it.

Tarrin and his favorite cupcake he made. Thanks Tarrin!

The girls eating and coloring Rapunzel pictures.

Fun times. Happy Birthday Maisey!

Maisey's Birthday

Maisey's birthday was on Sunday so that evening some of Kevin's family came down to dinner and to celebrate Maisey turning four! We had a ham dinner and opened presents and ate some of my delicious cake. Okay the cake was not very good. In trying to rush and get things done I had forgot an important ingredient! The baking soda! I was so excited to make this cake because I had gotten from Wyatt's friend Cole's mom and she had made it for one of her kids Birthday Parties and it was so yummy! It is a banana bread cake and was so good. Well mine turned out not so well and so in turn I will always have Tara do my cakes. I was trying to give her a break so she wouldn't kill me every time one of my kids had a Birthday and would be calling her. No more breaks she knows what she is doing!

I love this look on her face like nice cake mom!

She loved all of her presents! I can't believe she is four!

I think the highlight of the night was when we tested a couple of the floating lanterns for her friend party the next night. I think Kevin's dad was more excited than the kids. It was really fun to see them fly away into the night. So fun!

More Ear tubes

Went to the E.N.T today with Tarrin, Maisey and Trey. Tarrin looks good but they are keeping an eye on his left ear that is retracting a little bit and Maisey still has her tubes in and looks good. We have been noticing Trey has been talking louder which usually means his hearing isn't that great. Well he had an infection and has more fluid that needs to come out so next week we are scheduled for more tubes.
