Family Time

This weekend The kids and I went down to Kevin's cousin Heidi's little girls Christening. We absolutely love this family. It was a lot of fun! I was not very happy with the weather though. I was looking forward to seeing and visiting with Heidi and her family and the other relatives that we don't get to see very much anymore now that Kevin's Grandparents have passed away. It was just so cold that we ate and ran. I'm thinking I will have to have a barbecue soon so we can sit and visit. Yesterday we went to Marty and Kim's and had lunch. My nephew Ashton received the priesthood. I am so proud of him and his decision. We had so much fun! Kevin is so funny, He played four square with the kids for a couple of hours. He even had Tara, Kim, and I playing it! It was a lot of fun. I am so glad that school will be over this week so the kids can spend more time with their cousins. We love going up to Logan and being with the family. It's nice having both our parents live so close. I went and saw my parent's for a little bit and my mom had all of her journals out and I was able to read all about my birth. I was the only one out of the nine kids to be born after my due date. It's fun to read about those kinds of things. I am so glad that she kept a journal.

Makeup or Football game?

Maisey decided to put some mascara on this morning. This is how I found her. It's a good thing thing we won't have to deal with makeup for at least another twenty years! Life with a two year old is very comical. Everyday she does something to make me laugh. A couple of day's ago Kevin was out doing yard work in the morning and Maisey had went and joined him still in her pajama's. The next thing I know I come out of my room and hear her talking to someone. She was sitting in her bed with a chicken! I snapped a picture and hurry and ran her and the chicken outside before it pooped in her bed. She thinks that chicken is her best friend. she is so silly!

T's First game

Tarrin had his first Baseball game last night. He had some really good hits and he played First Baseman for a little bit and got someone out. He had a lot of fun. I have been waiting to buy cleats and pants until I know the boys are serious and they want to continue to play for a long time. It was so much fun watching Tarrin really get into it and have a good time. We love Baseball!

Wyatt's second Baseball game

Wyatt wasn't feeling good and said his stomach hurt but I just figured that it was nerves so I told him to get out there and play. He did fantastic and had some great hits! Later we went to Zeppe's to get an ice cream and he puked all over the stairs. Luckily it's outside and Kevin just grabbed the hose and sprayed it off. I guess he was really sick. I feel awful that I made him play but he did a really good job. He has some really good coaches this year and we know almost all the kids on the team. It's fun watching him play!

Trey's first T-Ball game

Photobucket
Trey had his first T-Ball game ever on Thursday. He absolutely loves it! He is always talking about his coach who is a girl. I think all of the boys on the team think it's funny that they have a girl coach. She is fantastic with the kids and seems to really enjoy it. Trey, Tarrin, and Wyatt are all playing Baseball this season and I'm starting to get a little worried about how we are going to pull it all off. Luckily a lot of the games and practices are when Kevin is off but there will be some that overlap with each other. We love watching the kids play and they really enjoy it. So here is to the first post about baseball, There will definitely be more to come.

Trey's Surgery

Trey had surgery on Tuesday. He had tubes put in for excessive fluid in both ears and had all of his dental work done at the same time (cavities.) He was so excited about his green Hospital socks. He was looking at me funny when I was helping him with his hospital gown, I guess it was a little girlie for him but as soon as he saw all of the other kids with the same thing on he was fine.
He didn't seem to mind too much when they were checking him out to make sure that he was healthy before his surgery.

He had a lot of fun playing before they took him away. He was playing a game with his dad where he would put a ball in these two clear cups and ask Kevin "Where is the ball Dad" I guess he didn't realize that the cups were clear. He was being so funny and it kept him occupied so he didn't realize what was going on.
They were running about an hour behind but not once did Trey tell me he was hungry or that he was bored. He hadn't ate since seven thirty the night before and it was going on two in the afternoon before they came and gave him the Vercet( I'm not sure how to spell it) You know the stuff that makes your kid act drunk. Trey was so funny! Kev and I couldn't stop laughing and I am so mad at myself for not bringing a camcorder. He was looking all around the room and then he told us that his leg was broke, As he said this he was laughing. Then he told us both legs were broke! The anesthesiologist came and checked him out again before he took him back and Trey looked over at me and said "Mom, He's breathing on me"
Then he just laughed and stared at the ceiling. One other thing he said was the wind keeps blowing in my mouth. They make them lay down in a wagon so they don't fall since their drugged.
Trey came out of surgery not very happy. The anesthia hadn't quit wore off yet. When I went back to see him, He was crying and not very happy.
After another twenty minute nap, He woke up happy and drank some apple juice and was ready to go. He was such a trooper during the whole thing. The E.N.T told us that we would notice a significant improvement in his hearing right away and good heck he wasn't kidding! The kid can hear so much better! He was so excited when he could hear the birds chirping when he was in the house and Wyatt saying his prayers. We are so happy that he can hear better. Everyday he tells me more things that he can hear that he couldn't before.

Happy Mothers Day

PhotobucketMothers Day posts are always hard for me because there is so much to say about my mother that I don't know where to start. My mother is incredible! She raised nine children and still has the time to be my best friend. She is always there to talk to and though she might not always agree with me she loves me enough to let me know when I have been wrong and what I need to do to get on the right track. My mother is one of the most selfless people I know. When we were growing up she would go without so that we would have everything we needed. I love her more than anything!

Kevin's mom is so special to me. She is such an inspiration to the family. She has taken such strength to battle breast cancer. She is also so selfless and compassionate. I am so thankful to her for raising a man that takes such good care of us.

I am so thankful to all of the Mother's out there who are such a great examples to me. I am especially grateful to my sister-in-laws and sisters who show me everyday what a good mom is.
