PRIMARY PROGRAM

Today was the Primary Program at our church. Since Kevin and I are primary teachers we had to sit up on the stand with our class. They did such a good job! Wyatt had his part memorized and I was so proud of him. He didn't need any help and he had a pretty hard part. Kevin's parent's came down to watch the program and managed to see two of there other grand kids primary programs all in the same day. I felt bad because Maisey wasn't having a very good day and Kevin's mom spent the whole program out in the hall. Tarrin sang a baptism song with the other kids that are getting baptised this year. He did a really good job. It was such a sweet program and I am always amazed at how talented their chorister is. Camille you know I'm talking about you. She is such a crack up and always puts a smile on mine and the other teachers faces during sharing time. I have never seen anybody so good with kids. I love our primary class and I'm so grateful for primary.

The Corpse Bride

My sister Jennifer got married on Halloween in her church in Hyrum. It was a nice, small wedding. It was a little difficult taking the pictures for the wedding and making sure my four kids behaved themselves but my family really helped out. I am happy that she has found someone to share her life with. I tease about the title but if your going to get married on Halloween you better know you'll have to take some flack for it. For trick or treating my sister Amanda and her family came down to go with us. My neighborhood is so much fun for trick or treating. Everybody knows everybody and it makes it so nice to be able to stop and chat. How about the weather! It was beautiful, and made it seem like it was a nice little stroll around the neighborhood expect for the kids laughing and screaming running to the next house. After the little ones got tired, Kevin stayed home and put them in bed while Tarrin and I went out again. Not that he needed any more candy. I ended up picking up our friends Hans and Heidi and their kids for some more trick or treating. We had the ranger to ride around on and the kids thought that was fun. It was such a fun night.

Painting Pumpkins

On Saturday I decided that we finally had some time to paint the pumpkins that we had bought who knows when. The kids had a lot of fun painting and making a really big mess. It was okay though since most of the paint ended up on them and it washed off easy so I couldn't complain. The pumpkins ended up a little bright, but that's the only color paint I had. The kids were so happy to see their pumpkins out on the porch for everyone to see. Wyatt ran across the street to tell his friend Tori to come and see his pumpkin. It was really fun.

OUR VERY OWN PADAWAN

One of Tarrin's favorite parts of Disneyland was the Jedi Training Academy. We went once and Tarrin was picked to be in the training. He absolutely loved it and we had to go back. The next day we brought his costume(Anakin Skywalker)and sure enough he was picked again. He got to fight Darth Mal and he even got to use his light saber skills on Darth Vadar. It was really fun to watch. It is so neat to see your child just absolutely love what he is doing. He received a certificate. Whether your child is into Star Wars or not they would really enjoy this. It was so neat to see the huge smile on his face as he got so into it. I was never much of a Star Wars fan but when you see how much your kids like it, it grows on you. Our house now has Star Wars things instead of just Dinosaur stuff. This was one of the highlights of our trip seeing Tarrin so happy. We are so proud of our little Padowan.

SNOW WHITE

The kids and I went and picked out some pumpkins to either paint or carve tomorrow. I thought it would be fun to dress Maisey in her costume and take some pictures. It's Maisey's first Halloween and my first Halloween with a girl. When I saw the Snow White costume I thought she would look so cute in it. I love the fall but I am not looking forward to cooler weather and I am not a Winter fan. Maybe I can convince Kevin to move to a warmer place:)

YEAR OF WONDERS

Before I forget I wanted to write about this book. I loved it and Kevin read it after me and really liked it. Geraldine Brooks is a great storyteller and and I couldn't put it down. It's about the plaque that hit a small town in England. It is on my top five list for favorite books I've read. If you get a chance read it and tell me what you think.
