Trey's Baptism

Trey was baptized last Saturday. It was a really good day. Tarrin gave the talk on Baptism and Grant gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. Both did a very good job. I especially liked when Tarrin told his brother he was proud of him and loved him:) Tarrin played one of Kevin's favorite hymns on the guitar. He did a great job. Trey was very excited to be baptized and was glad that his wrongs were washed away. Before the baptism I asked Trey who he wanted to give the talks. He said he wished my friend Alese could do it. My friend died a few months ago and Trey absolutely loved her. She was his nursery teacher and then his primary teacher. At her funeral her daughter talked about Alese having a drawing of Trey's on her fridge that she had kept there for a very long time. Trey adored her and she loved him. I felt like she was there that day and was grateful that her husband Barry could be there. It was a beautiful day filled with family and friends. I am so thankful for a husband who holds the priesthood and takes such good care of his family. We all chuckled a little at his 1960s clothes that they had there for Kevin. Good times. We are so proud of you Trey and your decision to be baptized!

Baby Animal Days

Maisey and I went with Tami and Lea and their kids to baby animal days. It was raining a lot at first but then cleared up and the sun was shining. It worked out great because there was hardly any lines and Maisey didn't have to wait at all to ride the ponies. It was so nice to spend the day with Tami and Lea! We have so much fun when we are together. Maisey loved the bunnies as you can tell. The boys missed out this year because they were at school.

Mexico 2013

Kevin and I went with my brother Jeremy and his wife Amanda and my sister Amanda and her husband Matt to Mexico from the 21st to the 27th of March. We had a blast!! We went snorkeling in the worlds second largest barrier reef, went to Xcaret, Kevin went deep sea fishing and caught a mackerel, Me and the girls went to the spa, found the coolest sea shells ever, relaxed and had a great time! I am already trying to figure out when we can go back. It was wonderful!

Shingles

Who knew that at 33 you could get shingles! On Monday and Tuesday I was feeling awful. My right ear was hurting so bad and I thought I had a major ear infection. I went to Mountain View clinic and saw a PA and she took a look and told me everything was fine. I knew I wasn't fine. There was a blister on my forehead but I didn't think anything about it. The next day I was still in pain and when I touched my face on the right side it felt like a million needles pricking my skin. I luckily was able to get into a dermatologist who determined it was shingles. He put me on a anti-viral medication to stop it from progressing and some pain medication. I have been in terrible pain and to top it off Kevin and I are leaving for Mexico next week! I am doing better today and trying to get off of the pain meds. My face got a little swollen and I have bumps that hurt behind my ear. For awhile my eye had lots of pressure but that seems to be getting better. My lymph node on my right side has been super swollen but I have been keeping ice on it. It's crazy that two little blisters can cause this much pain! I do feel extremely blessed because I know it could be so much worse!

Trey turns 8

Trey had a fun Ninjago Birthday party with some of his friends and a party the next day with family. He wanted Ninjago legos and money. At the family party he just kept counting his money over and over. He was so happy to have money to buy whatever he wanted. Trey is such a silly boy and we can't believe he is eight! He will be baptized in April and is excited for that. Happy Birthday Trey!

Island Park

We love going to the cabin and have so much fun! We went up there for a really quick weekend last weekend and had a blast! Nothing beats getting the worlds best hamburger, sledding, and hanging out with Matt and Amanda and kids. My kids say they want to live up there they love it so much!
