Girls Trip 2010

PhotobucketOn Sunday I left to meet my friends Tami and Amy in California. Tami picked up Amy and I at the Oakland airport and we took off for Monterey. We stayed in a fantastic hotel that Amy booked for us. It was right next to the ocean! We would walk right out of our room and down the stairs and you would be right there. The picture of the sunset I took right outside our door. It was so relaxing to listen to the waves crashing every night. We shopped, Ate entirely to much, and laughed until we almost peed our pants. We went to the Monterey Aqurium and took the 17 mile drive and saw the lone cypress. Everything was so beautiful! We shopped in Carmel (one of our favorite places) and had the best clam chowder at The Fish Hopper in Monterey. We did a three mile run along the coast where I realized that I may be living in the wrong place :) It was a much needed vacation and my stomach is still aching from laughing so much. I love these girls so much and I am so glad that we are going to try and do something like this every year.

Enjoying my Blackberry, Strawberry lemonade

Hanging out at the beach

Maisey, Where are you!

When you are frantically running around the house yelling your daughters name because you can't find her, Try looking on the couch. At least she had fun pulling the contents of the pillow out before she fell asleep.

Wyatt Turns Seven

Wyatt had a Dragon party for his birthday. We had family and some of his friends come over for cake and ice cream. His Aunt Tara made the coolest dragon cake for him. She does such an awesome job of making cakes! I am always so excited to see what she has made. We had a chocolate milk drinking contest and I guess it looked so much fun that Kevin's sister, dad, Tara, and Kim had to get in on the action. It was so funny to watch them try to drink really fast through a straw. Wyatt had a good time and said he really liked his party. Earlier that day we went to the Treehouse and out to lunch for his birthday. He picked Golden Coral for his birthday lunch. No surprise there. Why is it kids like buffet's. I guess it's because they get to pick out whatever they want and have plenty of desserts to choose from. Wyatt has grown up so much in the last few months. He is getting so tall! He has always been a peacemaker in our home. He is the first to say he's sorry or share with anyone. He has such a sweet spirit about him. We love him so much! Happy Birthday Wyatt!

The Fish Hatchery

Trey had a field trip to the fish hatchery today. It was fun to watch Maisey and Trey try fishing and get so excited over their fish. I was having some anxiety because they kept walking so close to the water. I was sure one of them would fall in and I would have to jump in and get them. It was so fun watching all of the kids fish. One little girl was so terrified of her fish and went running a mile away when they took it out of the water. It was pretty funny. Afterwards they had snack time. Fish crackers and gummy worms, A perfect ending to a really fun time. The weather even cooperated and it only started raining as we were driving away.

Playing in the dirt

Maisey and the boys were helping me dig up weeds in our planter beds or should I say playing in the dirt while I pulled all of the weeds. I found out Maisey loves worms and creepy crawly things just has much as her brothers. I asked her after awhile what she was doing, She said "Making weeds Mom".

Safe Kids Day

I took the kids to Safe Kids Day at the fair grounds on Saturday. It was so much fun! The kids favorite part was seeing the huge snake. I can't believe how big it was. I really think there was a small child already in its belly. All the booths were really neat and you can't pass up all the free stuff they give out! Maisey liked looking at the Roy police officers dog and she wouldn't put down the little card they gave her with the dogs picture on it. Tarrin and Wyatt got to see some Star Wars characters which they thought was pretty cool. Trey and Wyatt both got there faces painted. It was really neat and something I try to take the kids to every year. I love how everything is about safety.

Eleven Years Later....

Our Anniversary was yesterday. We celebrated by going to dinner and a movie with no kids! I can't believe it has been eleven years!
