Hogle Zoo

On Labor Day we decided to go to the Zoo. We had some free tickets and thought it would be a good day to go. I guess everybody else thought it would be a good day also. There was so many people there!! Kevin dropped me and the kids off and went in search of a parking spot. Twenty minutes later he met up with me and the kids. The kids had so much fun! Tarrin had is little camcorder with him and liked going around taking pictures and doing some video of the animals. Wyatt also brought his Fisher Price camera and took Lot's of pictures. I guess I'm rubbing off a little bit on the kids. Maisey was an absolute pill most of the day. She would get really excited about seeing a certain kind of animal and if we tried to pry her away she would scream and throw a fit until we got to the next animal. It was a cycle the rest of the time we were there. I was laughing a little bit when she would see something she liked in the reptile place and she would just stand there like the animal was hers and give everyone a look like this is mine and don't even think about looking at it.
Overall we had a good time. Later we headed up to Logan for my niece Kenzie's Birthday party. We had some yummy food and the kids played with all of their cousins.

School,Haircut,and New Calling

This post is a little bit of everything so feel free to skim through it. Well school has started and Tarrin and Wyatt seem to be enjoying it. I was a little worried because Tarrin was acting so upset that he had to go but after the first day he was loving it. Wyatt seems to like it but thinks the school day lasts a long time. It's nice having the two in school all day. I haven't gotten a lot done like I thought I would but I guess it might take me a little bit to get back in a routine. Tarrin and Wyatt always love the first day of school when they get to have doughnuts and juice before they get on the bus.
Tarrin has Mrs. Hansen and Wyatt has Mrs. Budge. They both seem really nice. At back to school night we walked in the classroom to meet Tarrin's teacher and Wyatt says "Look Tarrin, You have a grandma for a teacher" I was so embarrassed but I don't think she heard.

A couple of day's ago I was looking at Maisey's hair and it just didn't seem right. There were short pieces in the front where I knew that it had been long a half hour earlier. It took me a minute to realize that it had been cut. I didn't think that she had cut it herself so of course I asked Trey if he had cut Maisey's hair and he had said no and he actually sounded believable. Later Kevin asked Trey "Trey, What scissors did you use to cut Maisey's hair" and his reply "The green and orange one's" I guess it's all in how you ask them. I was so mad! I'm glad that I can brush her bangs to the side and you can't really notice it but still, It's so frustrating!

Sunday I was set apart to be the Young Women's Secretary. I am excited for this new calling and looking forward to getting to know the girls. I am really happy to be serving with Camille,Carrie, and Lori. They are such neat people. Wish me luck!

Bye, Bye Summer, We will miss you!

Tomorrow is the first day of school and I am excited and a little bit sad to see that our Summer fun is coming to an end. We have been busy trying to get everything in while we can. Here is some stuff we have been up to.
...Hit both the Logan fair and The Davis county fair. Logan was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed the fried oreo's and all the neat booths. The Davis fair was a bit of a disappointment but they did have a fun petting zoo.
...Went to Toads a couple of times. We had some gift certificates and decided now was a good time to use them up. The boys love the place!
...Kevin and I spent one day making salsa from the veggies in our garden and making Strawberry freezer jam. Yummy!
...Had Kevin's family over for dinner. Had a good time visiting with the family and Kevin's cousin Heidi came with her husband and their cute little girl who they just adopted. Also went to Zeppe's after and had a gelata!
...Kevin took the boys to the showing of Star Wars at the Egyptian Theater. It was free and Tarrin loved it. How neat it was for him to see it on the big screen. I was just fine with staying home with Maisey since I'm not really into that sort of thing. I'm just glad my kids have such a nice daddy that takes them to do all sorts of fun things. Kevin said it was so much fun seeing how excited they got. Trey fell asleep but the other two couldn't stop talking about it.
...I have been busy finding out how to get my next victim for the Wild West Shootout. Thanks Kim and friend Kelly for helping me get Brian Masuisui. He never suspected a thing! Nothing like hiding behind a corner waiting for your victim to come out of work so you can shoot them. Yes, Brian I know I am a punk.
... Went to North Shore and had a blast. Maisey loved the frog slide and couldn't get enough. I think she went up and down that thing a hundred times. She was so wore out Kevin took her home for a nap and came and got me and the boys when we were done. I met my sister-in-law's Kim and Tara and Tara's sister Tiffany and Kim's friend Kelly and kids. It was so much fun! The kids had so much fun and I had a lot of fun hanging out with the girls. We always have so much fun together. The kids love the lazy river! I can't believe we were there for five and a half hours. I think that's a record for my kids.

Mr. Bullfrog

Yesterday Wyatt came in yelling he had found a frog jumping by our fence. I went to see what all the racket was about and he was holding this big bullfrog. It was really big. I have gotten used to the frogs that the boy's catch in Island Park, but this was a lot bigger. The kids played with it for awhile and then we put it in a bucket with a little water so that Kevin could see it later. We had to go and get Tarrin some new glasses because one of the lenses fell out in the water at my family reunion never to be seen again. When we got back the kids played some more with the frog. Maisey would look at it close and touch it but we couldn't get her to hold it. The boys liked chasing her around with it until I put a stop to it. I hope she survives growing up with her three brothers. After a while we decided it was time to let the frog go. Me and the kids unlocked the gate and went over to the canal. The grass is so tall and the canal is so far down that I had Tarrin just throw it in. It made a big splash and was laying upside down that I thought we had killed it but after a second it turned over and swam under some moss. Wyatt was really sad to let it go but we just a had to reassure him that the frog was a lot happier living in the wild then in a bucket with kids bugging it. He kept asking me about that frog all night "Mom, How is it going to eat", and "What if it gets hurt". For hanging out with us for such a short time he sure was attached to that frog. I have gotten used to snakes and all sorts of insects being shown to me by the kids, but this was a first for a bullfrog. I think I will miss that frog. Who knows maybe if Maisey kissed it, It would have turned into a prince!

Family Reunion

Saturday was The Fiagle Family Reunion. My sister Jennifer's husbands family has some land up Black Smith Fork Canyon. It was so nice. There was three different rope swings for the kids. They loved swinging over the water. There was a big grassy area with lots of trees to the side of it. It started out rainy and cold but by afternoon it was nice and warm. We had so much fun with the family! We played a lot of badminton where me and my sister Amanda killed my brothers James and Peter. James couldn't handle it so we had a rematch with just him and he managed to beat us by himself. My sister reserved a big blow up slide that she had for Payson's birthday a week before(funnest birthday party ever!)The kids had so much fun going down it. Maisey would go down by herself but had to have some one help her up it because it was so tall. I was a little worried about it but she is no scaredy cat. It was so much fun and I can't wait until next year. My dad turned 69 on Sunday, My sister baked him a cake and we sang Happy Birthday to him. Love ya dad!
Me and maze hanging out.(I know we look like ragmuffins but hey were camping)

Bear Lake

Wow! Last week was a busy one! My brother Jeremy and his family came and stayed with us. We had a lot of fun catching up. On Monday we went to Bear Lake. My sister-in-law's grandpa lives there so she wanted to go and visit and I thought it would be a great time to check out the Lake(We haven't been there in years)My sister Amanda and kids also came. It was so much fun! My sister-in-law Amanda had some family staying there during Raspberry days and we got to join them at a private beach were they insisted that we take their jet ski's out. I went on a ride with Kevin and of course he had fun trying to throw me off. The kids had a blast being together and playing in the water and sand. It was nice and relaxing and the weather was perfect. Of course we stopped off and had a raspberry shake from La Beau's.

Lea's Wedding

My friend Lea got married on July 31st. I was thrilled I got to shoot her Wedding. It was nice to see her family. I haven't seen a lot of her siblings for years. Lea and I have been friends since we were four years old so we were pretty close to each other's family. It was a nice wedding at the Riverwoods conference center. Congratulations Lea!
