My parents fiftieth wedding anniversary was a week ago and we celebrated by having a dinner at Hamilton's with the family and a close friend of the family who can sing wonderfully. I think the night went great! Jeremy Threlfall sang a few songs and I absolutely love this one. He sings so wonderful! My parents say he is their adopted son. He also sang "Always" with my dad. That was their song at their wedding. He has been a close friend with my parents and they just love him!
My sister Amanda told me that she was going to sing a song that night. At first I thought she was kidding and then I thought she was just going to be funny and sing it silly. Well the day before the anniversary she came down to my house to help me paint and she sang the song a couple of times to me and asked me what I thought. I thought she did so good and the only thing I was worried about was if she was going to be too nervous. Well the night of the anniversary they found a waiter that could play the guitar. His name was Jake and you can see him on the video. Amanda was just going to pretend to play T and Wyatt's guitar but nothing beats the real thing. She did awesome! She has never sang in front of anybody before and she did so good! I was so proud of my little sis! Kevin couldn't believe it and made the comment "You think you really know someone and then they up and surprise you" She certainly surprised us and we love her so very much. Oh and she is quite the comedian and gave a hilarious little message to my parents also.
My parents stood and held hands and told each other how much they loved each other. They are such a great example of a loving marriage. All the kids stood and took a minute to tell my parents how much we loved them and what a great example they are to all of us. The in laws also stood and said a few things and Kevin was so sweet in what he said to them. What a wonderful time we all had and I just love my parents so much! I was so happy with how the night turned out. It took a lot of planning and I am thankful that the daughters pulled it all together. We love you mom and dad!
