Job Shadow

I have never heard of this but today I helped out my friend Carrie's daughter Maddie. For school they have to go with someone for a few hours and learn about their profession, something that they would like to do in their future. I love photography and was excited to show her some of the basics. It was fun to go and show her some of the stuff that I would do on a photo shoot. I had a cancellation on a photo shoot with a couple of kids at a little bakery so this morning I called up my friend Amanda and she came through for me and let us do some pictures of her cute little girl Kate.

Then we went to lunch. You have to eat right? Later we came back to my place and I showed her what I do with editing the pictures and getting them ready for the customer. We talked about cameras and It was fun and a good way to bond with one of my young women. Here is Maddie, I just love this girl!

Spring soccer is here!

There's nothing like sitting in your lawn chair next to your hubby and watching one of your kids play the funnest sport ever! Spring soccer has started and I'm super excited. Trey was thrilled when I told him that he had a soccer game today. It was a little cold but warmed up towards the end. I had my nephew for the day and he and the other kids played at the playground while we watched Trey. Wyatt has decided that he would like to play so I will sign up him and Trey for the next season. None of the boys wanted to play baseball this year which made me a little sad except a little happy that I wouldn't have to drive all over the place. I hate that part. Well Tarrin has decided that he would like to play so I need to go and sign him up soon. Having one kid at a time play a sport is definitely easier than having all three playing at the same time.

Climbing Trees

Our trees are definitely not mature enough for climbers but I did have to laugh at Maisey up in this tree. I think it was the first time she has climbed a tree. I can't wait until these trees have their beautiful white flowers on them. It was nice to spend the day outside in the sunshine and the kids couldn't get enough of the wonderful weather!

Random

We did decide to get Tarrin scheduled for his tonsils/partial adenoid surgery. A few days ago Tarrin's tooth was hurting so I took him in and he needs a root canal on one of his teeth! I didn't think that at his age he would need one but yep and it's not a baby root canal. He seems like the poor kid has everything happening at once. I had to go in and get a crown done today and I had forgotten how bad it sucks. Oh well hopefully the bad luck is about to change.

On a positive note if you can call it that, Kev and I signed up to run the TOU Half marathon again! We signed up the first day so there is no turning back. I know I said I probably would never run it again but things happen and I have decided to try it out again. I am so excited this year because my sister Amanda is running it again and so is my older brother Chris and there is a good possibility that my brother James and Peter will be running it also! That would be four of my siblings! How cool would that be. I know that it is hard work but doing it with Kevin makes it so much easier. It's nice to be able to talk about the training, run together and share the same experiences. I am also excited because four friends from the ward are running and we can train together.

On Monday we we went and saw Tangled. It was mine and the kids second time but Kevin hadn't seen it yet. We went with our friends Steve and Carrie and their kids. On Mondays it's family night so a family of six get in for ten bucks! It was so busy but so worth it. Kevin thought it was great and we love watching Maisey's face while she is watching it. I can't wait to buy it when it comes out, It is definitely my favorite Disney movie!

Good News

E.K.G results came back and everything looks good with Tarrin's heart. Now we decide to do a partial adenoid surgery or wearing a CPAP mask at night. Only about 60% of the surgery's result in taking care of the apnea. Hopefully if we go down that route he will be one of the lucky ones that it cures the problem. If your wondering why its a partial adenoid surgery it is because he had his palate repaired when he was eight months old so they can only do a partial. I think it will be heck to try and get him to wear a mask every night and his doctor thinks the surgery would be the way to go first and then if that doesn't solve it then we would try the mask. We are still thinking it over. We do not want him to have to go through another surgery so it is a hard decision. We will have to weigh the pros and cons.

Results from T's sleep study

On Thursday Dr. Munz Tarrin's E.N.T called to tell me about the results of the sleep study. I didn't understand a lot of what he was saying but apparently most people when they sleep are at a 0 to 1% and Tarrin was at 7.6% and 17.6 % for his Rem sleep. He definitely has some sleep apnea going on. He also was concerned that maybe he had a heart block and wanted to get him an E.K.G and see what that told them. I called and they told me that you don't need an appointment but to just come in. Since Kevin didn't have to work until noon we just went and grabbed Tarrin out of school. I was already stressing enough so I figured lets hurry and just get it done so a cardiologist can look at it sooner than later. The actual test took about thirty seconds and the lady taking it did tell me she's not a cardiologist but didn't see anything alarming. That made me feel a little bit better. So after we make sure everything is okay with his heart we will move on to the sleep apnea. I can't wait until we get this all figured out. We are praying everything is good with his heart and hoping to get the sleep apnea under control so he can get some sleep. Please keep him in your prayers. We love you T!

The other day we were in Walmart and Maisey saw some glitter pipe cleaner that she just had to have. Today her and Trey got together and came up with a way to carry around her little critters. Such silly kids but they always know how to put a smile on my face.
