Hyrum Dam

Me and some of the Fam headed over to Hyrum Dam on Tueday. It was a lot of fun. The kids had fun playing in the sand and water. I had a good time relaxing and watching the kids have a good time. We stayed most of the day. I haven't been to Hyrum Dam in ages and it reminded me of all the good times in High School when me and my friends would head over to Hyrum Dam for a great time. It was a lot of fun and the kids were exhausted! They slept in until late morning, Hooray for me!

We are sad but all good things come to an end

Swimming lessons are over. Usually I am so ready for them to be done but this year it seemed to go by so fast! I think it's because I was able to sit and watch and I had some fun gals to sit and talk with. We have been going to the Brigham pool for swim lessons every year for about five years. I am so glad my neighbors keep it up and we have a fun tradition to do with them every year. All I asked the kids is for one picture holding up there certificates and this is what I got. Of course nobody looking except for Tarrin and he's looking a little bit like Napoleon dynamite, Maisey, Is she even in the picture? and Trey and Wyatt too busy with their suckers to give a dang. Oh well, We had fun!

Trey and Maisey are silly!

Today Trey was looking through some of the old scrapbooks. he loves looking through them and usually gets confused if it's Wyatt or him in the pictures. They actually look a lot alike when they were little. Well there was a picture of Wyatt playing in the mud in front of our house before we got grass and Trey said " Where are all the weeds?" Apparently he was talking about the bushes but we had a good laugh because we have let the weeds get out of control in our flower beds in the backyard. I just assumed he wondered where all of our lovely weeds were!
A couple of day's ago Trey asked me if he could get a pet skunk! "I told him of course not, It would spray you and you would smell all yucky. How would you play with a skunk?" I said. He said "He would put it in a cage and just walk by it real slow." I said "That sounds like a fun pet but I think we'll have to pass on the skunk idea" What a silly kid!
When we were up at Kevin's parent's cabin the other day, Maisey saw Kevin's mom's wig drying in the bathroom and she came out and said " Mom, Grandma's head is in the bathroom" We all had a good laugh.

Swimming Lessons

Another year has passed and we are back to swimming lessons. The week has flown by and the kids are having a great time. This is my first year that I am able to sit back and enjoy. No more mommy and me swim classes. I did have a lot of fun doing them. I put Maisey in level one and Kevin thought I was crazy. He thought she was too young. She has been doing so good though and everyday she tells me "Mom I want to go to swimming!" Her teachers are great with her and she loves it. The boys have been having a lot of fun. Trey lasts about twenty minutes before he wants to get out because he's cold. Today he did better and stayed in longer. Trey has three of his friends in his class with him (Kennedy,Mason, and Dallin. All in picture above) so he is having a great time. It's been really fun and the kids and I are looking forward to one more week of swim lessons.

The Splashpad

If you haven't had a chance to visit the Splashpad at Riverdale Park, You need to go! I usually go a little bit later in the day and it seems to be less busy. It's perfect to curl up with a good book and watch you kids have the time of their life, Oh and it's free so you can't beat that! Also when they get tired of it and decide they don't want to get wet anymore, They can head over to the park. This all works great if you want to get them extremely tired so there will be no fighting going to bed at night. This is the second time I've been this year but I'm sure it's just the beginning. The kids love it!

2 parades, 2 fireworks shows, and 1 tired momma!

Having 4Th of July on a Sunday sure stretched out the weekend a ton. Friday night it was the Logan fireworks. It's a tradition that my two brothers James and Peter drive up from Salt Lake and me and my little sister go up to the stadium together. It was so much fun! Kevin's two brothers Marty and Rob came up with their families and his mom and sister and we were all able to sit together. Our friend Suz came too so it was really fun having everyone together. I got to have some of my family there and some of Kevin's so it was really neat. Before the fireworks we went to The Manderin for dinner. It was very interesting to have so many kids there so I hope we didn't make too many people upset with all of our children. I didn't think I would see Kevin until later that night but as we were eating dinner He came walking in. I was so happy to see him and that he would be able to spend the night with us. Maisey was really scared of the fireworks at first. She told us before they started that she hates the fireworks. The sound really scares her. She sat on my lap and put the blanket over her head but after awhile she would watch. She loved the pink fireworks. Go figure! We bought a bunch of glow necklaces and such at the dollar store. Maisey liked her necklace.
The boys and all of their cousins got snow cones. They all tipped over and made everything sticky by the end of the night.
Waiting for the fireworks to begin. Aunt Kim gave her a ring pop!

Tara and I. Tara and Rob wouldn't let me get a picture so I had Kevin hurry and take one. It was a really fun night. On Saturday morning the kids and I went over to the Cherry days parade in North Ogden. My sister in law Kim's friend Kelley saved us a spot. My sister Amanda came down with her kids and sat by us. Maisey saw Kim and I didn't see her until the parade started. She was content to just sit on her lap. She loves her aunt KimKim with her friend Kelley. These two are connected at the hip. We love them!
Maisey watching the parade with Trey and cousin Payson. She was so excited!
Maisey and Charly watching the parade. These little girls are so much fun but both are such spitfires!
Sunday we went up to Logan and hung out with Kevin's family. Later that night Marty and Kim did some fireworks at there house. The kids had a lot of fun! Thanks Marty and Kim for such a fun night and supplying the fireworks! Monday morning we headed up to Hyrum for the parade. My sister Jennifer lives right down the rode from Main Street and saved us a good spot under a tree. My two SIL's Kim and Tara came with their kids and sat by us. It was a fun parade! The kids all enjoyed it and fun hanging out with their cousins. At one point a truck came by and soaked all of the kids. The boys just sat there and let them soak them. Trey thought it was hilarious! It was pretty funny! The parade lasted forever but the kids had so much fun!

after the parade my sister Jennifer had my parents, Amanda and I over for a barbeque. It was nice just to sit and visit. After that we headed home. After three days of staying up until midnight I was exhausted. I could barely keep my eyes open so when we got home we all went took a nap. Later that night we went to the Farr West fireworks with our friends and neighbors the Lewis's and the Moffett's it was so nice to sit and visit. The Summer has been so hectic and we haven't been able to just sit and visit in awhile. The fireworks were great! It was a fun and rather long weekend but filled with lots of good memories! The video is dark but you can see Maisey only tolerates the fireworks, She doesn't love them.

Have a great 4th of July!

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend. I know I will be having a great time spending time with family and friends. Thanks to all of the military who keep us all safe and free!
