A Good Quote

My parents get the magazine LDSLiving and I loved this quote. It says - The great baseball hero Harmon Killebrew once said "My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say " You're tearing up the grass. 'Were not raising grass,' Dad would reply, 'We're raising boys."

We love the park!

We have been spending a lot of time at the park. The kids have a lot of fun and it gets a lot of energy out! We finally got our bikes all fixed so that we can ride over as a family. Maisey loves the trailer this year! Last year she wasn't much of a fan but this year she loves to look around and take it all in. Aren't the swings the best!

We love our Dentist!

We have the best dentist ever! His name is Cameron Qualye. When Trey had to get tubes put in and we wanted to get his dental work done at the same time, Primary Childrens referred us to him. After Trey's surgery Kevin called me and explained that he was not on our preferred list. This was after all the work that the Dentist had just done! When the Dentist called later that night to see how Trey was doing, I told him our dilemma. He told me he would look into it. The next day I got a call from the receptionist who had talked with our Dentist and she told me that they would take care of our bill like we had insurance and they were taking our insurance company on so that we would be able to take all of our kids there from now on. Who does that kind of stuff! he's awesome and I can't believe that he would do that for us. I guess he knows that with our four kids he will be doing a lot of dental work:) I have been so impressed with everything and his staff is wonderful. They had their second annual kids carnival a couple of weeks ago and it was a blast. We all got free shirts and they had pony rides, Face painting, Games, Blow up obstacle course and lots of yummy food (pizza, snow cones, popcorn). Maisey was a little hesitate to get on the pony but once she did, She had a blast

Memorial Day

Memorial was a nice day to spend with family. My brother had a barbecue at his house around noon. It was nice to catch up with family and be around some other sarcastic people. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. Tarrin especially liked climbing one of the tree's in his backyard. They also liked eating their ice cream cones. It was my niece Tiffany's birthday today. Happy Birthday Tiff!Afterwards I headed over to Kevin's Aunt Carol's house in Huntsville. She has a beautiful home overlooking Pineview reservoir. Carol wanted me to take some pictures of her cute little granddaughter Mckenzie. I will post some on my photography blog soon. We took the pictures over on a really pretty trail where there were fallen down trees. We tried to get a group shot of all the grand kids that were there but you know how that goes.
Maisey was able to meet her second cousin McKenzie for the first time and the two hit it off. They are only a couple of months apart from each otherThe boys saw a pelican, frog, and a snake so they definitely were happy campers. It was a lot of fun and it was such a beautiful spot!

Trey's Preschool Graduation

Trey had his preschool graduation yesterday. He memorized his part and didn't need any help. His part was "2010- Is the year we graduate from preschool and move on to Kindergarten and we can't wait!" He did a really good job and we were so proud of him. They sang some songs which Trey did not want to sing any of them. He just stood there and watched the other kids sing. Then they introduced all the kids and read something about them. When we were filling out the paper for his teacher to read I asked Trey what he wanted to be when he grows up and I didn't get the traditional answer like a police man or a fireman. Trey said he wanted to drive an ice cream truck and give ice cream to all of the kids or he wants to be a dog catcher! He alway's gives us a good laugh and keeps things so fun! Trey absolutely loves his Teacher Miss Jodie. This year Trey's class only had three boys and nine girls. I don't think it had a problem with that at all. We love Preschool and it's going to be so different for me come this Fall because it will be the first time since Tarrin started Preschool that I haven't had one of my kids in it. Maisey doesn't start until next year.

What am I thinking! Top of Utah half Marathon

If I'm going to run a half Marathon, Why not run it with two of my best friends Tami and Amy, My husband, And possibly my sister Amanda. I registered Kevin and I about twenty minutes ago and I'm already getting a little worried. It's not until the end of August but just thinking about it gives me butterflies in my stomach. The only thing that I know will get me through it is that Kevin will be right there by me. I did tell him that under no circumstances is he to stay by me if he can run it faster which I know he can. I am excited that it is up in Cache Valley and ends up four blocks from my parents house and where I grew up. I guess I can reminisce about my childhood as I run. So I will say thank you now to Amy for getting the ball rolling because I know when I cross that finish line I probably won't be in a thankful mood:)
