Happy Birthday Maisey

I can't believe my baby is one today. Where did all the time go. Maisey is such a happy baby and will be even happier after she get her tubes in tomorrow. She is standing on her own and walking around things but has only taken a couple of steps. I am not anxious to have her walk yet, I am perfectly happy to have her a little less mobile even though she can crawl about ninety miles a minute! We are so happy to have her in our lives. She is such a joy to her brothers. She is always making them laugh. We love her little personality and her sweet smile. Happy birthday Maisey!!

Tarrin's Dream

Last night Tarrin was up a couple of times throughout the night. He wasn't feeling very well and apparently was having some strange dreams. He told me today that in his dream, We were driving to California and Wyatt and Trey were singing the "Clean Up" song. You know the song that says "Clean up, Clean up, Everybody do your share" and Maisey was just mouthing the words. He got fed up with hearing it over and over and yelled at them to stop. We got mad at him and told him"It's okay, They can sing it" So they sang the song the whole twelve hours it takes to get there. Poor Tarrin!

Girls Day Out/ Bride Wars

Yesterday a bunch of us girls(all 13 of us) went to see the movie Bride Wars. It was pretty funny but Hollywood is really trying to push the envelope when it comes to movie ratings. I thought it was really funny and laughed a ton. It was so much fun having all the girls together. Afterwards some of us walked over to Iggy's to have a late night snack. It was so much fun to visit and get to know some of the girls who I haven't gotten to know very well. I took some pictures of Amie's cute little girl Chesney earlier in the day so you will have to check them out. Overall it was a really fun night. Thanks everyone!

This Economy Sucks!

Okay, So I promise this will be one of the last sentimental post for awhile but I couldn't just let Kevin get away with that Happy Birthday post and not say anything. Wow, can you say tears streaming down my face. I knew he could write things like that because I still have a few love letters from when we were dating but that was so sweet. I just wanted Kevin to know that I have so much respect for him. With this horrible econony he has stepped up and worked his butt off. I appreciate him going in to work every day and giving it his all. I know it is not easy and he still pushes on. I am looking forward to 2009 and hope that it will be a great year. I am so thankful for the work he puts in. He is so good at what he does and I am so thankful for the sacrifices that he makes for our family. I know it's not easy giving up a lot of toys(snowmobliles, bikes, the Ranger)but he didn't even question it. He knows what needs to be done and he does it. I Love you Kev.

What I learned in 2008

1. Kidney stones suck, Especially when you are seven months pregnant. I still remember being in the Hospital and Kevin asking me "Why do you look so green"? I do not like being pregnant that much and kidney stones made it a hundred times worse. Oh well the outcome was so worth it!

2. You should never floor a snowmobile across a wide stretch of land if you have no idea that there could be drop offs. I think I scared my sister in law to death when I went flying in the air.

3. Sending your second Kindergartner off to school would get easier. Nope, It's hard every time it happens. I was just glad this year that Wyatt had his friend Tori to go through it with him.

4. Four kids are harder than three. My life is filled with chaos. Most days I don't mind, But on some days I want to pull my hair out!

5. My neighbors are always there for me. When we need some good advice or just a helping hand. A couple of weeks ago, I needed to get out and chat so I called Heidi and Carrie to go get some desert. Mind you it was already 9:30 at night but they didn't care. We ended up going to Chillis and talking for hours. If you live close by you may just get one of these phone calls, Just to warn you.

6. Kevin can make Panang from scratch and it tastes just like getting it at the restaurant. Yeah, I can enjoy it and it's 90% cheaper!

7. Some people never change. It looks like they will and then nope their back to doing the same thing they were doing before.

8. I'm getting older. There is nothing I like more than putting on a pair of warm pajamas and curling up next to my husband to read or watch t.v. I'm sorry, Gosh that does sound old.

9. That I can blog for an entire year. I didn't think it could be done. Now if dumb blurb would fix their problem I could make a cute little book of the whole year, Instead of ending in September.

10. I love Disneyland. I'm so glad my kids got to experience it this year.

These are the things I admire and love about you most.

First and foremost you are always true to yourself. You never waiver on what is right and what is wrong. You are loyal to a fault and don't care what the outcome is as long as you do the right thing.

Second you are real. What you see is what you get. There is nothing fake about you. You are genuine and sincere. You don't put up any pretences and you don't try to portray something you are not.

Third is your natural beauty! You ALWAYS look beautiful. Whether it is early morning or you are all done up. You do not require layers of makeup. Enough said.

Fourth you are an excellent chef. Your skills in the kitchen are amazing and you are not afraid to try new things. I love it most when you find and perfect another family favorite and everyone wants the recipe.

Fifth you are a true loyal friend. Not just to me but to everyone who gets to consider you a friend. The length of your loyalty never ends and your close friends go back all the way to your early childhood. You are constantly concerned for the well being and comfort of your friends. You are selfless and put everyones needs before your own. I always find comfort in the fact that you are my best friend and I know that you will do anything for me.

Sixth is your intelligence. You are very smart. When you find a new interest you want to learn everything. Lately it has been your interest in photography. I am amazed at how fast you grasp the knowledge of how to manipulate the settings to get what you want. As well as how fast you continue to progress in the quality of your shots.

Seventh you are SUPERWOMAN!!! The things you take on and complete are nothing short of spectacular. Every day, every hour, every minute. You go non-stop and do not let grass grow under your feet. There is no such thing as a half job when you begin something. Your ability to raise our four children and remain sane is proof enough to your Superhero status.

Heather I want you to know that my love for you grows every day. You are my friend, my confidant, my north star, my lover and my match.

So here's to my sweetheart on her special day and to the many more to come.

New Years Day

We are so happy when daddy gets a day off. Yesterday we headed down to the Dinosaur Museum in Lehi. I had promised the kids I would take them sometime this week because they didn't have school. The kids absolutely love the place. We have only been there once before. It has so much fun stuff to do. We also saw a 3D Dinosaur movie. Of course we couldn't go there without stopping at Cabellas for Kevin. On the way home we stopped at Ikea and looked around and had dinner in Layton. I love the days when we get to spend a whole day doing things as a family. Friends and extended family are always fun but I love the fact that we can go and have so much fun just being together.
