Mexico was a blast!! My parents went with us this year and I'm glad they got to experience the beautiful country, Mexico. We had so much fun! We went to KIN-HA and jumped into two different Cenotes. One was a little scary because you couldn't see very well into the bottom, but it was only a 15 ft jump. It was so pretty with its blue water. You did have to watch out for the bats that were flying around down there. There was also a small zip line in the first one.
The bigger Cenote was a lot more open with different platforms to jump off of. The highest one was 45 ft high! Jeremy and Kevin both jumped off of the highest platform! They are absolutely crazy! Our tour guide went to jump and second guessed himself and fell backwards. I heard something hit one of the boards that was sticking out and thought for sure it was his head. I thought he was dead! Luckily he came back up to the surface. He had hit his wrist and seemed to be hurting but tried not to let it show. Kevin and I went off of the bigger zip line together. It was so fun and I loved every minute of it. My parents both did the land zip lines. I thought they were such troopers, especially with my mom just having a hip replacement two months earlier.
Kevin and Jeremy went scuba diving in Cozumel. Matt, Amanda, Amanda and I went and hung around Playa Del Carmen while they were away. It was absolutely beautiful! The beaches were fantastic and we had so much fun playing in the waves and shopping. We stayed at Now Jade and got a fantastic room with a view of the ocean and the resort. We made a lot of wonderful memories that I will never forget!
I had to write a love letter for my English class, It couldn't be to a person. Since I just got back from Mexico and it was still fresh on my mind I decided to write about it. I miss it!
Dear
Mexico,
I
am lost without your warmth and your light. I cannot forget the moment I first
laid eyes on your beauty, the rays of pure joy shinning down on my manicured
fingers and toes. You have that perfect warmth radiating through every pore of
my skin. I will never forget the sunburned kiss that you left on my shoulders
and crook of my nose or the perfect reminder of your touch on the small of my
back. Every morning I would wake up to your mesmerizing light and know once
again that there is love and beauty in every waking moment.
I am a selfish person because of your
love. It is not something that I feel guilty about, loving you. I take a piece
of you every time that I leave. Oh, how hard it is to leave you! It seems like
I cannot breathe unless I know that I will see you once again. The smooth,
white sand that you provide is nothing short of a gift to my touch. I wish
right now that I could lay in your comfort and embrace. I want to be wrapped up
in your love and not have to wash it away. How it torments me not to be with
you right now.
The birds and trees bask in your wind. I
feel it every time I close my eyes. The breeze that you give so freely is
nothing short of a miracle. How you sway the boats, trees, and wildlife is
something to be proud of. You are amazing and beautiful and even the Frigate bird
does not want to disturb your touch for fear of disappointment. It will spend
its whole life flying in your breeze, never failing you. When I fall asleep at
night I can still hear your breeze and the way you move your waves of water.
Your salty air can be a hindrance but it still just makes me love you more. For
nothing is perfect is it?
Your water is perfect just as you are, warm,
refreshing, and so very strong. It can be frightening just how much passion is
in your waves for it can take my breath away and leave me feeling lost and
disoriented. You make me laugh when you force your salty kisses in my mouth and
nose. Sometimes I cannot tell where I am and I am lost in your firm embrace
pushing me to go where I don’t want to. That’s just what I need, some one to
push me to do new things and try new experiences and you have given me that.
The anticipation of your next move leaves me feeling anxious but excited at the
same time. I don’t know where you will take me but I do not care because I know
that we will be together riding that same wave of what they all call life.
