Happy Birthday Tarrin

Tarrin turned 16! Its crazy that in a month, he will be driving! Tarrin is a very smart, bright kid. We are so lucky to have him in our family.

Scuba Certified

I am officially Scuba certified! It was one of the scariest things that I have done so far in my life and one of my biggest fears. I had a great instructor Mac, who I wish was in this picture with me but wasn’t there when I went to get my diver card. After crying a bit on the way to the Crater for my first open water dive and having a little bit of a freak out moment on my first dive. I took a moment to collect myself and realize that I was okay and continued my next dive with no problem. I want to say thank you to my instructor Mac who somehow knew not to ask me too many questions when I’m sure he could realize that I was about to loose it. Afterwards hearing “Good Job, Heather” meant a lot to me because I know that he knew how hard this was for me. I also want to say thanks to my buddy on the dive, a nineteen year old, buff, not scared of anything kid who was probably thinking why did I end up with this scared, over emotional women as my dive buddy. He didn’t coddle me much like Mac and would not let me think too much about what I was doing before he would say alright, “Lets Go” I didn’t have much of a choice not to follow him since he was my dive buddy and all. Most importantly I want to thank Kevin for pushing me to try new things. As soon as he heard that I would try it, he was racing down to Bountiful to sign me up before I could change my mind. I was grateful that he was with me at the open water dives and had peace of mind that he was there and supporting me the whole time. This was one of my biggest fears but I’m glad that I pushed through and am excited for whatever comes next.
