Once there was a snowman!

Wyatt and Maisey had a lot of help today building a snowman. The snow was perfect and Zoe Lewis and Mia Moffett came to help out. The kids had fun and stayed out for a long time. Maisey was in love with the snowman, her new favorite song is "Once there was a snowman" go figure!

Dance Class

Maisey started dance today. She has been asking me about taking classes for a few months now and ever since she saw Despicable Me when the little girls had a dance recital she has been asking me "Mom, I go to dance class?" She loves to twirl and dance around and was very excited. Kev asked me last night if I had got her something to wear. I just giggled because I had already bought her a few outfits and had went a little crazy. I just couldn't say no when I held them up to her and imagined how cute she was going to look in them. Silly especially because it doesn't really matter what she wears to dance. You are supposed to only stay for a minute and then leave and come back. It was strange for me to leave my almost three year old. I had no kids! So strange! I guess this will prepare me for when she goes to Preschool. When I got back she had a huge smile on her face. She loved every minute of it!

Surgery Again

We went to the E.N.T who we see every six months. The last time that we went he wanted to see Tarrin and Masiey back three months later to check on some fluid that they had in one of their ears. Tarrin looks okay but they are still watching one ear and want to see him back in a few months. Maisey will be getting her second set of tubes the first week in Febuary. We also have eye appointments later this month and Tarrin is scheduled for a sleep study also later this month. This upcoming surgery will be number twelve or thirteen surgeries for us combined with all of the kids. We have done ear tubes a lot and is one of the easiest so I am grateful for that. We all have our trials and this is definitely a trial for my sweet kids. Every time we go to a surgery, Whether it be an easy one or a difficult surgery I wish it was me instead.

Such a Simple Request

On the way home from church yesterday Tarrin asked me "Mom can we have another sister" I replied "No!" and then he said "You say no to everything!"

The Dentist

After Wyatt's horrible experience with the dentist I was happy to be going back to our new dentist who I trust a million times more. Kev and I had dentist appointments in the morning and all the kids had appointments in the afternoon. We are always running around with are heads chopped off on Wednesday because it's Kev's day off and we try to pack everything in. After I got back from Wyatt's basketball practice we had to wake up Maisey from her nap and I was worried that she would be awful at the dentist. She kept watching all of her brothers get their teeth cleaned and get x-rays and she would tell the ladies no when they asked her if she was ready to get her teeth cleaned and x-rays. Well when it was her turn she just decided not to put up a fight and got right in the chair and did what they asked. Kev and I were shocked and Kev took some pics and video with the i-pod because we were not expecting such a good outcome. She did a great job! Trey and Maisey had no cavities, Tarrin had one small one and will need to get into the orthodontist soon and Wyatt had a crown re cemented and will need to get the one tooth that caused so much trouble removed and a spacer put in.

The Little Things

Sometimes you have to just stop and enjoy the little things. Before church Maisey and Trey were playing with the play dough containers and with all of the choas of getting everybody ready for church I needed to just stop and take a breath. I realize they aren't going to be little forever and it's fun to sit and watch them play.

Another Year

Well another year has gone by and I got to celebrate another birthday yesterday. Yuck! Thirty one! Oh well I guess there is no way of stopping it. My friends Anissa and Kami took me took me out for a wonderful breakfast at Jermiah's and I was able to spend the day in peace and quiet since the kids went back to school. Later we went as a family to Olive Garden. I am grateful for all of the calls and texts that make me feel so loved. It was a nice day and It was nice to spend it with my family.
